This ***** happens all the time...... I clicked the "report this auction" b/f the pictures went up and gave them my last auction item number, this auction number and they sent a canned response and have done nothing? My question is, how to the nuts that run these auctions actually hope to gain anything? Maybe a deposit at auctions end?

Another nut actually put an ad on autotrader.com a couple months ago using my VIN and pictures so I sent the guy emails and told him I wanted to buy it. I asked for more pictures and he sent me more of mine. I told him I wanted to know exactly where the car was physically and he first told me it was in MO then told me it was in CA......... He actually gave me an account number to wire money. I got bored and quit playing with him.

Sorry to hear someone's using your photo's Chuck.

On another note the person selling Chuck's car is offering $78k? Wonder if that's before of after rebate? LOL

It's smart that you reported it.
If someone was fool enough to transfer money and at some later point their attorney found that you had seen the auction but not reported the fraud, I'd bet anything that they would try to hold you partially liable for the fool's loss.

What I want to know is, who are these knuckleheads that bid $200, $300 or some other rediculous amount on any auction (not just this auction) for something obivously worth tons more? Do they really think their bid will stand or they'll actually win? It happens even with reserve auctions......

LOL - classic. Just goes to show you that an eBay ad means nothing when trying to determine current pricing.
