CF Parts 1: MACarbon CF Mirror Shells
Hi all,
I wanted to get the outside mirror shells wrapped in CF, after seeing Kicherer's modified CLK BS. But an email to Kicherer showed that their CF mirror shells cost over $1500! (1200 euros). So I contacted John at MACarbon and he made a set of custom wrapped mirror shells for me.
I had to source an extra set of mirror shells, plus MACarbon's CF wrap, plus dealer install: total is ~$1200. If I went through Kicherer the total would be easily around $1800.
It took about 3-4 wks to get the mirrors back, plus getting the second set of mirrors and the install, total took me about 2 months.
MACarbon's work is truly first grade, as evidenced by the pics:

The weaves look great, only a few thread that looks out of place near the edge but I think that's inevitable. The clear coat is perfect. It fits very well with the CF vent and rear spoiler. Personally I think it looks the best with a black car, as it blends in better with a subtle effect that I enjoy.
The only thing better than the product is John's service. Very prompt with email correspondence, kept me informed all the way. Price is not cheap but it's justified given the final product and the exceptional service.

I don't see anything special at all for that much money. Neal from Euroteckmotorsports probably can do for a couple hundred dollars !! But it your money so spend it how ever you like.
