CLK 63 Black Series, 2009 S550, 2011 Range Rover Supercharged, BMW F800 GS Anniv Edition
I really find it hard to believe that anyone here reallly could care less ab what the car is worth for several reasons - one of the reasons you buy a car like this is exclusivity (isn't it?) when the car starts out at 138k and a yr and a half later it can be had for 72 its changes the exclusivity factor. At 138 the car is in a different demographic than a 70k car or even a 100k car. But now at 70 it can be had by the kid M3 shopping or GT-R shopping for that matter. And you cant tell me that thats not irritating.

Looking over this thread again, I have to say it. I still can't believe that BS was going for MF $72K.
To top off, NO ONE bought it. WTH.....

I'm amazed at the number of people who just don't get what a BS is. It is a sledgehammer that holds up to abuse on the track like no other street car with the arguable exception of a GT3. Just show up for a track day and you know IT'S EXCLUSIVE! If the economy didn't tank the cars would hold up a bit better, but what does it matter. The guys that know what they are use them. Meanwhile those with their ***** on the mantel keep looking at the prices.

I just turned 23 and I can honestly say that society makes people a certain way. Society views success as the people who have the most monrey or the nicest things. When I was 18 I bought so much **** because I thought it would make me look good. Now at 23 I realize that buying stuff even for your cars is something that has to be for your own personal enjoyment or else you are going to die of a stroke thinking how much value you are losing. My father always says "Why the F you waste so much money on your car?" I simply say that it makes me happy. I know I have a lot to learn in my life but everyone learns than money is not everything as they get older.

lol i called for this car actually. I thought hell why not get a real one, and he lowered the price even more. I dont want to say how much but its a great deal for in my honest opinion one of the best and nicest cars on the street.

Tomorrow I'm gonna see if he'll just give it to me. I mean what the hell its only money and as we've learned here money doesn't really mean anything to most of the forum members and since it doesn't matter to anyone who drives one just like theirs - there is this homeless guy I know.....

The CLK63 BS will always be an attractive AMG to own and enjoy.
Interestingly, the CLK63 BS resale has fared better (to date) than some other cars released by Mercedes-Benz and AMG over the past decade or so. Examples that immediately come to mind are the CL65 or S65, SLR and virtually any '600' going all the way back to the R129 and W140s.
But, I think the BS is unique in that the niche for the BS is even smaller than AMG or MB standard fare. I think the BS buyer is more focused in what they desire out of this special AMG - not merely seeking a cruiser but a purpose-built rocketship. That contributes to a greatly reduced pool of potential resale buyers, along with the current economic situation.
Long term - I think the collectibility/desirability/value will do better than most other MBs out there for the following reasons:
1. It's aesthetically beautiful
2. Truly limited production
3. Incredible performer
4. Repairable/Reliable systems (brakes, suspension, engine, transmission)
I'm keeping a close eye on the resale market on these cars. I'm planning on having one tucked in my garage at some point.

Said it b/f, in this economy no matter how low they put it out there it's never going to be low enough...... IMHO, this dealer fu*ked themselves on this one and they deserve to have folks offering even less. They dropped the price from $89.9k to $72k and now they'll take less?

They just relisted it with a BIN of $70,900...... Imagine what the poor guy who traded it in got???

The buy it now price is now $70,900. The seller must be an idiot or in such desperate financial straits that they are willing to give it away to recoup their investment. I hope it sells soon because it's creating a very dangerous bottom line price.

Yep, someone please buy that damn thing. Next you will have idiots trying to baseline a BS from that price if it keeps floating.

Oh, I think we can count on most buyers who watch ebay using this one against sellers! Isn't Global a BMW dealer? Perhaps they are trying to single handedly trying to destroy the Black Series market......

Yes, Global is a large BMW dealer here in Atl. It's a Illuminati Benz BS price nuke attempt. Over $50K off on this car, and NO ONE has bought it. It's nuts, I tell ya! I am sending this to as many people that like Benzo's that I know.
