Problems found during Schedule B

I took my car in for the B service and they called me with a couple problems. Seems the parking brake cable was melted as it runs near the driveshaft. Apprently there is a new unit that has heat shielding that they are installing. Also, they are installing new motor mounts as mine were leaking...I asked for solid motor mounts but they said they are not available
Anyway....not sure if these are just random issues or if other cars have the same problems...make sure you have your mechanic take a look the next time your car is in for service.

Luke,

Did you have pay out of pocket or was all of that covered under warranty?

Interesting. Mine goes for a B service in a couple weeks, I'll make sure they look at these items specifically.

Since i bought my BS my parking brake was never working correctly(i had to pull it 3-4 times to get released)after checking with the service department they told me that the cable was installed from the factory incorrectly so they fixed it and also installed a heating shield.Right now it works fine.

Luke,
Interesting, I had a parking brake issue that was just fixed on my schedule B.
I'll have to look to see if they installed a new part.

I would think both are warranty items?

I had my B Service done about a month ago, no problems except another rear dif seal needed to be replaced, that is the second time it has been replaced...can you beleive they covered it under warranty LOL? You know you've found a good dealership when they continue to warranty a car as heavily modded as mine.
