FS Renntech Headers and sound pipe

I am looking to sell the renntech headers and sound pipe that are currently installed on my car. If anyone is interested I am willing to make a heck of a deal for both at 3k total!

I have attached a picture of the headers which are a work of art.

Thanks

I'm very old school ... what happened to performance headers having equal length tubes? Are these new style performance headers actually tuned for max performance or are they just pretty exhaust manifolds?

Guys. I simply am selling as I have other mods in mind. In saying that I couldn't answer all the questions on here as I just bought the car and they were on there. I know they make a difference but how much I couldn't tell you. As for the headers being so short that's a renntech question. Everyone has their reasons so I'm sure they had theirs!

Maybe some mod experts on here can help me answer the questions a little better?! Thanks

You're making the right decision, trust me. The evosport pacakge will give you the most signifacant improvments in both power and torque curve as well as peak HP and torque gains. No other tuner has even come close on Black Series mods. I have every mod that evosport offers and they took the car to the next level.

Brad or Simon should chime in but I would imagine that if you want to optimize the benefits of the more free flowing exhaust that some changes to the ECU would further improve things, however I'm sure that the stock ECU can adjust itself to the new exhaust to some degree. If someone wanted to bolt up these headers and soundpipe Graham is selling with no other mods they would notice a fairly significant increase in power and torque as well as an improved and more aggresive exhaust note. At $3000 these are a great deal. Any of you guys on a budget that would like more performance should jump on these, you can enjoy them now and down the road you could address some intake mods and an ECU tune to really transform your beast. Chuck owned them so you know they are top notch and in perfect condition.

??????WTF???????...must be some good ***** on the streets these days. Big budget cuts at the DEA? Fabio...what forum are we in? Where on this thread does it say ANYTHING about an E55, or any 55 for that matter? The OP is selling Black Series heades, a Black Series has a 63 motor(NA 6.2 liter) so I'm pretty confident these headers won't fit a W210 E55.

...one more thing, you own a car, I thought you rode a horse?

I thought we were getting posts from someone who had assumed Jim's name but the post above shows i was worried about nothing!!

I have pretty much every engine mod Evosport makes except for the headers. I am looking to race in silverstste again next year and wanted a set of headers for the top end. I used to race with Hennessey at silver state and he knew what I wanted. My headers don't make so much power down low but it is a compromise. Cig1 the two main types are equal tube and a tri y design. The theory (I believe but which is prob incorrect) with the tri y is that the fourth tube helps to push the first three pulses and scavenge with it's own pulse.

Tuning and the other parts are Evosport and the results speak for themselves.

OK since Jim's post got deleted as well...I'll say it for him, again, "EXCUSE!!" LOL

Give it a rest Fabio...nobody really cares and your bludgeoning of the English language only makes it worse.

LZH you have to give him credit on the language (not the message but the fact he is trying to write English). Putting someone down because their first language is not yours is in very poor taste.

How many languages do you speak and write?

I don't know if I can agree with this comment, Fabio is the one continuing to add fuel to the fire, if he can't structure a proper sentence or phrase in English he's fair game. The last time I checked this is a website pubslished in English, I don't know for certain but I highly doubt that Luke is lurking around on some Italian or French forums getting into a war of words with people...afterall ths is a forum, all it consists of it words, phrases and paragraphs, if you're gonna post at least make it somewhat translatable to the masses, all of us are guilty of poor spelling and grammar from time to time but Fabio has managed to butcher the English language like no other. I guess props to him for giving it a go, but IMO all is fair in love and war.

As for me, FWIW, if it came down to it I could effectively insult a person in English, Spanish and Italian

Jim,

I am not defending the content of what Fabio said. My comments are simply that to get on a person because the are trying to converse in a language that is not their native language is not right...at least he is trying.

I suspect Fabio is writing in his native language and converting using babelfish or some other translation program. Perhaps it would be more effective if he wrote in his native language and let the rest of the board members figure it out.

And FWIW I regularly get insulted by my wife in Italian, Spanish and English!

To stay off this thread topic, do you have carbon wheels? If so where did you get them?

I hear what you're saying, but Fabio needs to know when to quit, after the mods took down his (and my) posts he should have let things die down but instead he came firing right back.

As for my wheels, yes, they are carbon fiber Dymags, the barrel is carbon fiber and hub/spokes are an aluminum/magnesium blend. They are very light weight (about 16 pounds for the 19x11 rear). They actually add a significant amount of performance, noticable braking and steering improvments as well as "freeing up" about 20rwhp on the dyno. A set will run you $10,000-$12,000 but in my opinion it's a inexpensive upgrade, not too many ways to gain (free up) 20+hp and improve handling and braking in the process. The only problem is that you most likely won't find a set becuase Dymag recently went out of business. You might have easier luck finding a set sitting around over in Europe since Dymag is/was and English company.

My appologies to Graham for the thread hijack(even though I did not initiate hijack), but it's actually probably helping him out by keeping his thread at the top of the page.

Are the headers still available or did you find a buyer?

Hardly a put down and if you must know I speak 5 languages, but am only conversational in 3.

Then you should now what it feels like to try to speak another language only to be put down because of it. Anyways no more comments from me as this thread is about selling headers.

Once again, I wasn't putting him down. I simply made an observation about how his difficulty with the english language was making it hard for anyone to follow what he was trying to say. And for the record I don't make a habit of posting on forums where I can't speak the language. Especially those that are technical in nature...man, why is everyone so sensitive around here ??
