clk 63 BS suspension

Proud new owner just took delivery of a BS this week. What a car, I just didn't realize how stiff the suspension was, don't get me wrong, its amazing, but stiff. So much so, more often then not, when pulling into most driveways one of my rear wheels comes off the ground and the other rubs the inner wheel well....normal? Any suggestions from those of you who have had the car a while, I know the suspension is adjustable but my dealer won't touch it. Thanks

Yeah, completely normal. I three wheel all the time pulling into driveways. Gotta love that stiff suspension.

Congratulations on the new purchase. I am sure you are enjoying the heck out of the car. Did you but it new or used? If used, then how many miles? Do you aftermarket wheels? Depending on the answers, any of the those could be a contributing factor. In response to stiff suspension and the inner rear wheel going off the ground. It is a normal thing due to the stiff chassis and not the actual suspnesion, although the coil over system also contributes to the inner wheel lift. Also, what you may think is your wheel rubbing is actually the limited slip diff making a mechanical noise when one wheel is off the ground. The only reason you would ever rub is if you have dropped the car to its lowest possible setting, and even then it is not going to be low enough for your stock wheel and tire to rub inside the wheel well. I hope this answers your question and concern. Word of advice, i would not change the suspension setting at all, but would definitely get a reputable allignment shop to alling the car the first chance you get. Enjoy the car, as it is a fantastic piece of kit.

Throw on some H&R's if you want to see stiff.

I have no doubt h&r's would set it up to another level....don't think my kidneys could handle it though

Just bought it as a certified car from a MBZ dealer this past week so I had not checked the pressures but, will do. Seems like feedback from the other members/owners leans towards this just being a stiff @$$ car As it should be.....
