CLK63 BS in Car Museum in Las Vegas..?

I always stop by the Imperial Palace Car Museum Collection when I'm in Las Vegas.
This time while strolling thru it, I came upon a very rare Red CLK63 BS with a very optimistic asking price.

One of 10 in red! Who am I to argue with that. Hope he gets his price, after all it's only on of 10.

They do look stunning in red though.

Dymags are $10-12k and that carbon grill is $2k, where is the other $16k in carbon parts?

I did notice that the large rear hump was done in Carbon Fiber, so I'd guess a full CF interior upgrade.
I couldn't get really close to check out the interior because it was roped off.
It did look amazing and JR, those are DYMAG wheels.

If they are they don't look anywhere near as nice on the car as yours. Looks like they have more of a convex shape to them.

This is a CLK Black series Forum. MY08 only. You should probably look within the other forums on this site for a MY06 Steering wheel picture. You should also specify what car's MY06 steering wheel you want the image of.

Hmm, so I'm not a CLK expert, but I've been offered a CLK BS steering wheel, was told it was a MY07, which probably tells a lot about the person selling it.

Was wondering what the MY08 ones looked like so I could tell which one it actually was!

As Eitan already the BS was only available as an 08 model, however a large number of them were manufactured in 07 so if someone obtained one via a salvage yard and peaked at the door jam sticker they might see 2007 which would be the manufactured date, all BS's will have 2008 titles.

The BS wheel will fit many MB models hovever paddle shifters and steering wheel controls might not be plug and play.

Thanks jrcart - it looks like it's spline compatible with the w203, which should mean it would at least physically fit a R171. Still hoping for a photo, as I don't know the difference between the AMG CLK wheel and the BS wheel - if there's a difference!

I would recomend investigating the airbag and airbag wiring harness and ignitor to make sure its compatible as well, MB uses several different airbag systems which may result in an SRS warning light always being iluminated or no working airbags.

Looking at the schematics, it should be fine - CLK shares SRS with the E, E with the SLK, so looking workable. Don't suppose you want to wander out and take some photos? ;-)

Still hoping to put my hands on another R171 030 wheel, but since production is finished, no joy so far.

My car is 1500 miles away at evosport getting more work done otherwise I would take a few photos for you. FYI, there have been a couple threads in this section with people adding carbon or alcantara to their BS steering wheels, there are photos of BS steering wheels in those threads, try the search tool, it might help narrow down the threads.

LOL - I think your car spends more time getting faster than it does in your hands! I'll try searching the threads again, was getting drowned in "signature" hits earlier.

I can take a picture and post it up for you to see. In the meantime check the following thread which has a few pictures of the steering wheel with the Carbon Fiber additions. If that doesnt help them PM me and I will post one up for you.

Oh IC. I read J carts reply and he is correct. I hope I didnt come across as to much of a stiffy. Was just trying to put you in the right direction. Anyway i put up a link for you on the post above this one with lots of pics. Hope that helps. Of course J cart shamed me again with his abundance of knowledge. It is good to have people such as J cart. He really knows his *****.

Cool thread. I always liked the BS in red too.
I also like the SL BS in red!

I wonder where he got the one of ten numbers--I thought MB doesn't release info on color break downs?
Either way, really cool--i've never made it to the Imperial Museum, I figured it had a bunch of old stuffy cars I could care less about.
I'll have to give it a looksy next time

OK, I ordered the first Clk63 BS from FJ MB in mars red but didn't take the car as I got one of the PL allocations so that's two mars red.
The owner of Laguna Niguel MB ordered a Mars red that's three.
Three on the board is 6 and the Motor Trend or C&D was a red one maybe not a production car who knows so that's 7. I think there's about 8% production in mars red, so figure around 25. total.
