I'm in the market for something new and a CLK BS is on my radar. I just sold my CLS55 and my Nissan GTR deal just fell through. Pricing seems awfully low on this listing. Car looks stunning. Any feedback would be appreciated. I may have to pull a quick trigger on this baby after I get my eyes on it and review all mods w/ a fine tooth comb. Thanks

Accident reported in October 2008 and then Steering/suspension checked Feb 2009 tells me there is a problem.

Would be careful about GMG as I presume they have done very little in the way of black series tuning.

So much for "flawless" as the listing says.

Yeah and from the listing:

Quote:
Limited Slip Rear End Upgrade ( stock CLK's do not have LSD
Apparently the OEM LSD unit in the BS wasn't good enough for these guys.

Keep on looking...
Better to locate a stock unmodified BS.
Market at the moment seems to be around $85K +/- range for a proper low mileage CPO'd unit...

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I'll walk on this one... but it's certainly a beauty w/ those HRE's

thebishman,
Sorry, 80k is out of my range at the moment. I'd shift my focus to 2012 GTR at that range. GLWS & I'll certainly let you know if I change my mind.

The availability of unmodified examples is drying up as well. Been seeing prices on the rise over the past few months. Definitely the time to jump on a well-taken care of example. The introduction of the C63 Black Series will also likely shed some light on the CLK63 BS market as awareness of the Black line-up increases.

I saw a Black car displayed outside of Phillips on Coast Hwy in Newport Beach ... driving by, didn't stop to get specifics.

I agree with this... anything too much under 80 and there's something wrong with the car. The bishman's black is probably the best value on the market right now.

In the end you get what you pay for. If you can't afford the car at 80K, picking up on for 67K from an obviously inaccurate ad will ultimately just leave you disappointed.

You should wait until the c63 BS arrive in a few months. Prices may change as Clk63 BS owners look to trade in their cars.
Or get the GTR now. It's not very pleasant to look at but it will outperform 99% of the cars you see on the road.

I don't think a lot of current CLK BS owners will trade for a smaller C63 BS. Drive a current C63 AMG and you'll understand why.

This was just released by MB, no mention of a BS.

I'm with you. If anything I expect prices of CLK63 Blacks to increase with the release of a new C63 Black. Awareness of the Black Series name will drive some increase in demand for a car that (arguably) looks better and will be $30-40k cheaper than the C63. The supply of CLK63's continues to dry as more "long-term" purchasers that couldn't pick one up new, get their hands on it. Unmolested/unmodified examples will be even rarer. The long term prognosis on CLK Black prices is still in the air, but it's promising that prices have held or increased since I bought mine last year. I've put 6000 miles in that year, and I could probably sell it for what I gave. The only thing I would consider replacing it with is a SLS, and I'd much rather have both than let go of the black. Now...about that SLS Black.

Not giving up yet!
Can someone please run a VIN check on this BS for me. WDBTJ77H68F233063
For the record, "out of Budget" does not mean Can't afford. I have seen some folks get lucky on a used listing here and there. With proper due dillegence, patience and luck can pay off.

Hey Doc,
I'll be sure to refer my friends to your practice :-)
not sure why you're bashing my interest in a beautiful car. If the car isn't right at the end of the day, I'll walk! I just don't want a potential long shot of a deal to slip through.

I hope they don't need me.

Maybe "bash" is too strong a word, don't u think? What Im poking at is maybe u should do your own legwork instead of having guys here do the work for u, so u getting a GTR will spare us all. Bashing?....it seems not.
