FS: Satin Black CLK63 Black Series
Now that my allocation for the C63 Black Series is confirmed for 2012, I'm selling my CLK 63 Black Series. First off, the specs:
2008 CLK 63 Black Series
12,000 miles (approx, I gotta double check)
Obsidian Black Metallic w/Satin Guard Wrap
Dealer Installed Factory iPod
Dealer Installed Factory Bluetooth
Evosport Spacers
VIN: WDBTJ77H18F244293
Carfax: http://tinyurl.com/clk63bs
Warranty: 04/2013 100,000 miles (CPO)
Asking Price: $81,000
Contact Email: rage2@replicon.com
Here's the history on the car from my ownership. I picked the car up August 2010 from Hendrick Motors Mercedes-Benz of Charlotte with 9000 miles on the odometer and had them ship the car to my house in Montana. I paid $86,000 for the car, which included the CPO Warranty. I drove it up to Calgary to get some work done on the car.
I took the car to Lone Star Mercedes in Calgary, and had them install the factory iPod and Bluetooth options ($3500, not a typo). Next, I had Tinting Illusions install Satin Guard on the car to protect the paint and to give it the Satin finish. They also tinted the windows (35% all around), installed the tinted glass protector on the tail lights, and the lightest tinted glass protector on the headlights ($5000).
I also had Tunerworks come by to install the Evosport spacers ($300) during the Satin Guard install.
And that was the end of the work done for 2010.
The car was driven back to Montana for winter storage. Most of the miles on the car was from commuting between Montana and Calgary, there are no Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Montana (let alone AMG shop), so the closest with AMG certified techs would be Lone Star Mercedes-Benz in Calgary, Alberta. They've done all the work since I've got the car. Here's a list of things that have been done by them, including warranty work:
I also had ADV.1 wheels installed on the car by Tunerworks, but I'm keeping those for the C63 Black Series.
The car is currently located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and I can arrange shipping to anywhere in the US through Kulu Motorcar. They are an exotic broker that sells cars throughout North America, and he arranged for all the shipping for me when I first purchased.
You are free to fly here to see the car in person, and I will reimburse your flights (up to $1000) if you decide to purchase the car. Let me know if you have any other questions.
As with many CLK 63 Black Series owners, I absolutely LOVE this car. I've owned a lot of crazy cars over the years, and this is by far one where I itch to drive it every chance I get. Only reason I'm selling is because The C63 Black Series is confirmed for Canada and my order has been confirmed. Since this car isn't legal in Canada, I can only have it here for 5 months of the year, and I had to do a lot of commuting back and forth between my house here and in Montana which put on quite a few miles (most of the 3000 or so miles during my ownership). Also, kinda silly to own 2 of these bad boys.
Thanks for reading.

- Oil Change - I always change the oil immediately on used cars that I pick up. Completed August 2010.
- Diff Oil Leak - Covered under warranty, diff oil overheated and vent out the diff vent. Oil flushed and replaced, oil was clean. Hasn't happened again since. Dealer suspect last service prior to my ownership the oil level was low, which caused the oil to overheat. Completed Sept 2010. See this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk63-bla...-oil-leak.html
- Center console chrome trim - Replaced under warranty. Was flaking off. Completed June 21st 2011.
- Service A - Completed June 21st 2011.
- Driver side seat belt cover - Pending, parts ordered. Warrantied part. Piece broke, so it's a little loose.
- Downshift Paddle replacement - Pending, parts ordered. Warrantied part.

Your CLK63 Black Series is sick!
I do find it a bit strange that your dealer is confirming your order for a C63 Black Series when they have not officially even announced the car and how many will be produced.
Did you place your order in the US or Canada? I need to call my dealer again.

Oh, it's confirmed. I even have the official unveiling date.
See my post here:

Since that post, I got a little bit more info. My deposit and confirmation of availability for German GP was because all canadian confirmed orders and deposits is entered for a draw for 2 to the German GP in the Mercedes Paddock Club to watch the race and see the world preview of the C63 Black Series after Qualifying at a Mercedes-Benz party. As of June 22nd, all Canadian allocations are already pre-sold. My friend finally convinced his wife to give the thumbs up to order one yesterday, and he was told the bad news that he won't be getting one.
My dealer has been super secretive about it, but I was able to see some of the AMG docs when he wasn't looking and I was there to finalize my paperwork, and I've been asking tons of questions to figure out why he needed me to write a letter confirming my availability for that weekend.
If I win the trip, I'll be live blogging the event for my website www.beyond.ca as well as mbworld.

I found another guy that ordered the car and got a copy of the docs. He's sending it to me now. Will post pics shortly.
edit - OK, got a copy of the docs, but I'm not allowed to post it... don't want to get this guy in trouble. Here's a summary though, the doc is Canada specific:

All warranty work completed as of yesterday, so the paddles were replaced, as well as the seat belt trim piece.
Current mileage on the car is 12080 miles.
Willing to trade for Porsche 996 Turbo + Cash. Need a new winter car.

Back from vacation bump. Here's a pic with the ADV.1's on the car at a recent show and shine.
Going to get off my lazy *** and post it on autotrader this weekend.
