Just bought a B.S. but.......
I just bought this B.S. for $74,000 from a Land Rover Dealership. I am the second owner and the previous owner left the car to die. The car has 12,000 miles with 5 years or 60,000 miles warranty. I sent the car to Mercedes Dealership at Anaheim to do a detail inspection and the car is good except.......
1. Diffuer is chipped
2. Dent on quarter panel
3. Dents on passenger door panel
4. This is what an egg can do to your car
5. Quarter panel dislocated
6. Lower corner bumper cracked
7. Center CF console damaged
This is going to be a interesting project for me to fix all these issues. I will take the car to Hi-Quality body shop at Alhambra on Monday then I will send the car to Diamondblackexterior at North Hollywood to wrap the car in Satin Orange. While the car is getting wrapped, rims and emblems will be powdercoated in Satin Black and the brake calipers will be powdercoated in Satin Orange. I am trying to get all these done in 5 days. I will update more pictures later on next week.
This is what I am trying to imitate. By the way, whose car is this one?

To me its obvious that the previous owner had no respect for this great car, only 12k miles and so much damage. Please post the after the fact pics when you are done.

The dislocated quarter panel and cracked CF on the center console are really bad...
Also the paintjob is a real mess but it's nothing a good bodyshop can't handle
Don't ask people about the color of your car - just go for what looks right to you. I personally love the orange and if I had another car as my DD I would wrap my car in Gloss Orange Vinyl. It looks amazing with black and CF accents.

The diffuser is really a weak spot on this car. I purchased my car with certified preowned , and the previous owner had scraped up the diffuser and they sent a new one after delivery and paid for the install. When I had service, another dealer scraped up the diffuser, but since we couldn't prove who did it, I purchased it at cost, and they installed it for free. Currently, I have two small nicks on the one I have now, that will be fixed.

It is an aftermarket warranty. It costs $3,000 for 5 years. If it is Mercedes warranty, it costs $3,700 for only 3 years. What is the differences between aftermarket warranty and Mercedes warranty?

The MB warranty is accepted by any MB service department without question as it comes up when the service department keys in your VIN.
It's basically an extension of the original factory warranty.
Some aftermarket warranties are not as easy to get reimbursed either directly or indirectly

Diamondblackexteriors just started wrapping my car. They just send me some pictures and told me to decide if I want to leave a shadow accent on the fender or not. What do you think??
