RENNtech CLK63 Black Series Carbon Fiber Aero

Our full carbon fiber front lip spoiler offers aggressive front end styling and increased down force for improved handling.
Integrated into the flat panel underbody tray are functional channels which allow cooling air to be directed to the front brakes to significantly increase brake cooling and reduce heat fade and pad wear.

Price: $2,980

Our rear diffuser is the companion component to the front splitter and functions to decrease drag and increase down force by improving the underbody airflow and its transition to ambient air.
As with the front splitter, our diffuser is the result of countless hours of design and testing, but isn’t just for looks...
Integrated into the true double decker rear diffuser are air channels to dramatically reduce turbulent underbody air as well as a dedicated channel to direct air to the rear differential oil cooler, thus decreasing thermal stress on drive line components and allow for significantly cooler operating temperatures.

Price: $3,250

I have been on this forum for 7years now and the amount of Renntech aero/carbon products that I see bought and installed on cars here is almost nonexistent, and this is a true enthusiast's website. People will just about always complain about price but Renntech prices are always and order of magnitude higher than competitors. I have modified 5 AMGs touching just about every part of the car from wheels to brakes to engine to exhaust to bonnets to spoilers front and rear and never been able to justify to myself the prices that Renntech charge and have yet to buy a single product from them instead going to Vath, Weistex, HRE, Kleemann, mode carbon, macarbon revozport and others, even Brabus. All the above companies factor R&d etc into pricing so why is Renntech always so comparatively mispriced.

Thank you for the feedback guys on pricing guys. On the aero parts one thingthat people do not look at is that we use a process call Pre Preg Carbon Fiber. This is one of the highest quality carbon fiber process you can do. A lot ofour competitors use a wet layup style which is way cheaper to produce but the qualityis also much less. We cannot offer our parts for the same pricing as others dueto that. Here is some more info on our process.

What exactly isprepreg carbon fiber
  • Prepreg is widely known as the finest process in carbon fiber manufacturing and has been used for aerospace and military applications because of its superior consistency in weight, thickness, fitment, resin, carbon layout, and overall quality.
  • Lower cost carbon fiber uses a wet-layup method which results in components of inferior, strength, appearance and overall quality. To create prepreg fiber is pre-impregnated (hence the name) with resin at a production facility, rolled on spools, and frozen to prevent the resin from curing prematurely. This material is then cut and hand laid into a mold to the proper thickness and cured at strictly controlled temperatures. This process creates a laminate with a precisely controlled resin volume and in turn is 20-30% stiffer and stronger than an equivalent thickness wet laminate process.
  • The pre-impregnated (prepreg) fiber method creates stiffer, stronger laminates with controllable, predictable results and the result is a consistent, tight fiber weave which not only looks amazing, but adds strength. This ensures our customers receive components which not only look good on the vehicle standing still, but won’t crack, warp, fall off or fade when mounted to the exterior of their vehicle after six months or while driving at high speed.

I have no problem with the way they look or quality. I greatly admire the Renntech products. I would, for example, dearly love the BS front splitter and rear diffuser and the SL rear spoiler in a heartbeat
