OEM Black-Series seats

Hi guys,

Managed to buy a pair which have been used lightly. Can anyone tell me if these can be retrofitted into the C63?

Is it worth messing around with them or do I just sell them on. Thanks

Keep. Looks like they're already wired for the airbag sensor. Should be a relatively simple swap. If I'm not mistaken, the C63 has the same seats as the U.S. spec CLK63 Black Series.

That is a sensor for the seat belt. These have no airbags so installing these into a C63 will cause an airbag fault.

If you do install these, the airbag light will need to be tricked into thinking they are still plugged in. You can use three resistors wired in parallel to solve this problem. the light will then stay off.

To confirm the resistance there is a how to on the big subaru forum, I have done it before and it worked perfectly. Cant remember the exact ohm's but a google search will solve that problem.

OP indicated they're OEM CLK BS seats. Didn't they come w/the SRS sensor?

You're right, but the car itself has the plug you pull out from the OEM seat. Its the end that stays in the car you need to add the resistor to.

Or you could just sell them to me here in the U.S.A. and let me figure it out.

FYI to all, got them (one of the last pairs available in brand new condition) in my car after a full Euro spec conversion inside & out, resistors do plug right in but is not enough, Euro spec seats have no weight sensor and that with resistor what not would still trigger the air bag warning light on the cluster; real way of removing this is to plug in an unlocked STAR w/ DAS and de-code the air-bag or re-code it into Euro spec setting as well.

Did you get the CLK63 seats in your 204 C63? Curious to know if they share the same rails or bolt in locations.
