Different blacks available?
Was there obsidian 197 (metallic) black as well as non metallic black 040 colors available for the CLK BS?
I'm thinking about compiling a list of vin's and colors. I know one was started a while ago but don't know what happened to it.

Yes. Both blacks were available. There was a thread from 2010 called CLK 63 AMG Black Series Club which tried to compile a registry of VINs and colors. The list from that thread is attached.

Thank you for the info. I transferred that PDF into an Excel file and added some more cars. Most listings just say black. Is there a list anywhere that has breakdown by color? I wonder how many obsidian were made. I heard 27 but you can't believe everything you read online
