i have watched YouTube videos on it and it my car doesn’t have the section to adjust the time and date.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was worried you were going to say this.

The moronic individual that installed the Apple Car Play module previous to my ownership took out the old module. Thankfully they kept the old module.

A classic case of too smart by half.

id there another way to adjust the clock?

Having stated this, I have to say that bin really enjoy the cat play and rear camera.

Oh wow!! That's the only way that I know off. If adjusting the time on the new screen doesn't work, what about disconnecting the battery and connecting it back when the actual time hits. Other than that, pretty stumped

did the battery trick work? whenever i disconnect the battery and reconnect, the cluster adjusts to whatever the radio time is.

a semi modern screen with waze and radar detector is a solid combo to have

Take off the center console in the rear, it's a torx screw I believe - the panel lifts out

SDS Connection

Any luck adjusting the time on the dash clock? I also recently changed the head unit to something with CarPlay, so I lost the ability to change the time through the Command system. Not a deal breaker for me considering the original headunit is so outdated and the navigation is useless.

In another thread I read that if you disconnect and reconnect the battery, when the actual time is 12 noon, the clock will reset to 12. Also, in another thread, they mentioned that the dash display could be configured so that the clock can be deleted from the Command system, and adjustment functionality will also be transferred to the dash menu setting, and adjusted through the steering wheel buttons. This is done through the SDS (Star Diagnostic System) that all dealers, and most reputable independent shops will have. You can also delete the other non-functional menu items that result from changing the Headunit, such as the Navigation and Audio menu items, so they don't appear on the dash board display menu.

https://mbworld.org/forums/s55-amg-s...ut-comand.html

I just did this on mine, but unfortunately, I still don't see any menu option to adjust the clock on the dash display. The thread mentioned above is actually for a different model Merc, but similar period. But at least I was able to remove the Nav and Audio menu item, and these items can be restored back on through the SDS, if and ever the OEM headunit is reinstalled.

So how will I adjust the clock display? Probably through battery disconnect/connect method. Or there may be a fuse I can pull that will only disconnect the dash or clock, I will have to look into this. Or if any body already knows which fuse this is, feel free to chime in.

Or, I will just leave it as is, and it will be correct 6 months out of the year ;-)

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I never did resolve this…..

I need to put a new battery in, so I am going to do this now with the 12noon option.
