My car has 31k miles on it and every year I get an oil change with no problems. Well this oil change drove car home and next week started car up and started running rough with slight tick at startup then the tic went away.
ran scanner p0300 multiple misfire and and a few banks on O2 went bad. fine, NO white smoke or blue smoke out of tailpipes mostly condensation.
So did a lot of research and most say first change the PCV valve and while your there do injectors and throttle body plate.
Injectors seem fine check all plugs and no carbon build up. But I will change injectors anyway here are some pics of intake manifold.
Can’t say for sure but very well be the culprit then.. I had the same problem and went away after a new fuel pump, PCV valve and cleaned out the fuel rail.
Ty, Texas I will keep that in mind once car is back together , so Far I ordered new PCV valve new injectors and new throttle body plate. Ill be posting updated pics soon once all parts come in and then see if fixes problem and also do pressure test on fuel.
First I have to say wow on how much tar like goo is in the ports from all the Ethanol gas.
New Parts consist of:
New Aluminum throttle body plate
PCV
gaskets
injectors bosch
1 time use bolts
catch can
cleaning a lot of cleaning
hopefully this catch can setup will catch the goo and or sludge from going back into the intake. I took pics of the intake runners there was oil but massive amounts car only has 31k miles on it. but so far so good after install car is slight intermittent miss fire but not multiple miss fire like before.
I sprayed brake clean on side of intake manifold to see if manifold was warped but it was fine. So next Im going to take computer out and send it to Race IQ and spoke with Anthony there to check if car does have a tune or not and if it does. I want to see if it running rich. which I think is the problem
