DAMN, I must confess that Mercedes took the design of this coupé to another level. While I still love the rear end of the original model, I must admit that the front end has aged with time. The front end of the new CLS is really amazing. If only the CLS had the same interior as the CL class, that would have been a deadly combination.
I remember vividly when the original basic model CLS used to be a great head turner back in 2006/2009 in the UK. Damn, time flies. Today, even a mad man drives one and that is why I need to upgrade as soon as possible. The CL (W216) is the next move.
Sorry sir for the slight off topic, nice choice of car. Well done with the purchase

Nice to see a new thread, I was beginning to give up with this forum as it is just full of advert posts.

The interior of the CLS is cramped and not as spacious as the CL. Also, the technology used in the CL (W216) is far superior as opposed to the one used in the CLS. The leather dash with great stitching and luscious wood in the CL are mind blowing. The seats in the CL whether basic, dynamic or AMG are well engineered. I love the huge screen size of the NTG 3 comand unit and the additional screen on the speedometer for night vision assist in the CL. The comand screen size in the W219/218 is very small and the mappings are squashed up. Also, the S/CL will be the first Mercedes models to receive new technology.
The interior design of the CLS is great but it's not the best and having owned one, I will fancy a change.

OK fair points, I must admit I did not look inside the CL when I saw the sticker price. You are talking another level of car in the S/CL. The CLS is based on the E Class footprint and built on the E Class line and is so much better than the E Class interior. I must admit I am surprised that the Comand screen is so small when BMW are doing a much bigger one in their 5 series.
