Raced a 2013 CTS-V !!! In my cls550
So i was driving along with a couple buddies and a dark grey cts-v pulls up next to me revving. The guy in the cadillac was alone and i had 2 passengers. We raced from a 20 roll and got him by a car and a half length. Then we raced 2 more times from a 30 roll and got him by a car both times. He was surprised and asked if i was stock. Yes sir bone stock just resonator delete. Im really surprised with my car it is also faster than my 2012 grand cherokee srt8

I am sorry but something is not adding up. I did race a few CTS-Vs with my stock CLS63PP and it was was fairly close (AMG on top). I did drive a CLS550 with a renntech tune and I could potentially see it edging the V but not stock.
There is simply no way a CLS550 puts close to 2 cars against the latest V with 556hp.

Yea maybe something must have been goin on with his car then . I did race a bone stock 2007 gt500 aswell and got him by a car length . We started at around 50mph up to about 120

It still doesn't add up and I also drive a highly modified CTS-V as well. If you are pulling these lengths as you say then you may have what is called a factory freak. In that case, you would have more HP stock than the average CLS550.

I really do think its a factory freak . Ive had alot of fast cars and this one is faster. I had 2 srt8 jeeps and 2 saleen saleen mustangs running 12.5 quarter miles and this one blew them away . I had my cousin drive my mustang and then we switched and still cls on top.also .

from a low speed roll.. traction and transmission is the key and the car that can get to the power band and find traction will usually win.
Hence E92 M3 with DCT loves rolling races.. low torque, high HP and super transmission..
for CTS-V.. lots of torque and builds on the mid range..
for CLS550... lower torque and builds on the low range.
I don't doubt your encounter with the CTS-V
just for context.. youtube CLS550 4matic vas CTS-V from a Florida track. You will see CLS550 with a TUNE.. is pretty much even with CTS-V.. even trap speed.
4matic will trap lower but is ETA quicker.. and rwd will be ETA slower but trap higher in most cases.
I hope people don't get the idea that CLS550 stock will kill a CTS-V.. you will need a tune to be just about even..

I am wondering is the Cadillac was the older LS2 base engine instead of the LS9. The cadillacs CTS-V (s/c) are a beast from low , mid and top end, after all they are a big V8 with lots of displacement and a 1.700cc S/C on top of that.
I wasn't there to witness it but considering that the CLS 550 puts so much torque down low and perhaps the Cadillac was a 6 speed manual then I could possibly believe it.

It was not the older ls2 . When you're a car guy you know what a car is and it was the new cts-v with the ls-a same as zl1 camaro engine. The corvette zr1 has the ls9.. I was honestly surprised i won . His car was an automatic aswell

Weird. Where do you live? If I remember right, the CTS-V is supercharged, and the CLS550 is twin turbo. If you're in a high elevation (like me, in Utah), then you've got a major advantage with the turbos vs NA and even supercharged cars. They don't lose very much power in higher elevations.
My 2012 CLS550 was killing new mustang GT's and M3's, both naturally aspirated cars that should have been able to take mine.
That's the only way I can think that you could have won.
Besides, if it were really a poser - you would have beat him a lot more than a car length. My guess it was really a CTS-V having an off day.
