Home link for garage

This CLS has by far, been the most challenging car to date to program. I've owned the car for over an year and exhausted myself a few times to try, just recently as yesterday. I gave up a while ago and use the old skool garage remote. What "inspired" me to try again, was a successful link of my new '13 Maserati GTS to the system, but no dice Chicago!
I have a rolling code system, so after I program the cars from the garage remote, I then have to push button on garage motor and push homelink button a time or two, for it to finish programming. I had no problems w/ the GL450, previous '10 E550 and '08 CLK550.
I clear the buttons by obtaining the green light. Next step is the issue, because instead of the home link button and garage controller button, I am holding down turning into a "fast yellow" to accept the code, it goes green and I am dead in the water. Any tips??!!!

If unsuccessful check "Problems when programming" in manual or dealer may need to check software or replace unit under warranty.

Those are excellent videos... it corrects the INACCURATE procedure in the 2012 CLS manual.

Here's a correct video I made.

I made the video with the C63 BS, but the programming is identical to my CLS550 steps.

didn't try yet, but just looked at the vid. Seems inaccurate off the bat, because the book says to clear the codes, which will give you a solid green. That was the only step that worked for me. This video shows the clearing indication as a flashing yellow!

This looks like it will work! I can't believe how far off the manual is, I think it was a carryover from the previous homelink in the '11 and older models.
Thanks

Thanks all for the help, especially this home made video. Took me a few minutes to program!

Just programmed my newly arrived home 14 CLS550. Pretty much relied on the manual for a rolling code door opener and it worked OK. Tricky thing is the color lamp codes. Other than that, it is just like programming most other home link systems for other cars. The videos above were a good refresher though cos the last time I had to do this for a car was maybe two years ago.

My manual was for a '12 and it appears it wasn't updated for the new system, yours must be!
