New Tires

As a result of my valet mishap, the claims adjuster advised that I needed to replace one of my tires. With 17k+ on them now, I figured it's time to replace all 4.

I live in South Florida, so ice and snow are not factors...at least not yet! ;-)

I have Continentals now which came with the vehicle. It has been recommended that I strongly consider the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S-3's.
Was told these provide a very comfortable ride and excellent traction.

Anyone have experience with these pups?

Conti takeoffs

Can't help with the Pilot Sports but if you decide to put on another pair of Conti's, I've got a set of 18s taken off my 2014 CLS with about 100 miles on them. I went with a 19 rim instead. You may have them CHEEEEAP; they're taking up space in the garage.

All the best,
Scott

I went ahead and had the Pilots installed this afternoon. What an amazingly comfortable and quiet ride vs the Continentals. The Continentals were marketed as providing a much softer ride than the Pirelli's...which was the Mercedes dealers other offering at the time I made my purchase.

The Pilots are also said to be very sticky providing excellent handling. Time will tell, but right now I'm loving them!

Marketed as having a softer ride... yea because of a soft sidewall. I went thru 3 front tires this winter(1 bubble, and 2 blow outs) garbage tire

I think Contis. His pain was posted in a few separate threads.

Bigigg, hope things are better now with higher inflation pressure and more potholes repaired in our area.

Scott,
Where are you located? I might be able to take those tires off your hands.

Jayhawk, I would be happy to deal with Scott anyday. he is a stand up guy and will fulfill his part of the deal. I bought the 18 inch AMG rims from him. Good luck.

Scott hope you complete the second part of your sale like you were hoping initially.

Sorry for the late reply, I was OOT for a few days and didn't have email access. It was great.

JayHawkdmd - I'm in Denver (Littleton to be precise).

Spencer, thanks for the kind words.

Best price I could find was $900 for the set of four plus $90 shipping to me (Denver) from Las Vegas. I imagine shipping to KC is about the same. How about $600 shipped?
