I agree.
While the car is indeed beautiful, the wheels are the total opposite

Thanks fellas, I hope to have these put on this weekend. 19" AMG.

The 18" Twin 5 Spoke that came with my CLS would look much better on a black CLS.

Grrr - this makes me a little mad that I bought my 2014 right when the 2015 was around the corner.

Love the LED design on the headlights a lot more than mine, but I like the 2014 grill design / scheme better. I think they are trying to go with a streamlined / congruent look with all their cars, so it looks similar to the rest of the MB lineup. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a perspective.

Have you tried the 550? If so, was there much perceivable power difference between the 2? I may go test the 400 and see if I like it better. I'm sure gas mileage is a bonus.

I have add a few CLS500 models and this is not comparable IMO. Driving the 400 is a much less aggressive ride, even when we drive it in Sport mode.

Other than the slightly different grill, rear bumper, headlight design, and tablet nav...what else is different? They look really similar to me. The new bumper and grill are growing on me, and I really like the new led headlight design. 2015 can keep the tablet nav though. That's one design change I doubt will grow on me. Hopefully its remedied by the next cycle.

I'll second Peter's sentiment. Front bumper is totally new. It looks like a completely different car from the front (very CLA-like IMHO). I like the "old" front bumper (same applies to W212 as well) much more and also like the "old" rear bumper more as well. At least for CLS they kept (unlike the W212 E-class) rear pontoon fenders. Once I saw what they've done to 2014 W212 E sedan in 2013 (even though I bought 2014 version anyway as it was the only way to buy 550 since could not find any 2013s), I knew what's coming for the CLS in a year and bought the 2014 version in late 2013. IMHO, the "original" version of C218 is overall the best looking current (or ever?) MB (I also have 2015 SL, but still like C218's styling more - specifically the front and wish R231's would look like that even though its close).

Those wheels and grill remind me of the CLA. The new wheels will be much better imo.

Nice color! I wanted a white one as well, but not that many were on market before I got mine, plus the interior was either black (too dark in my opinion) or white (definitely not for a daily driver). So ended up with a gray one, but the interior is a killer combo - black with orange interior. No regrets so far. And yes, I love the headlights and DRL!

New ones are cool, no offense, but I still like the 2012-2014 front end because it was more distinctive than other MB models. The 2015+ looks generic like the C and E class. The front bumper and the headlights look the same as other models. But 2012-2014 were very diff than other models. And honestly I like the double lined DRL in headlight housing.

@Ghostty that's a nice combo. I looked around for almost 6 months when I was looking for one in 2018, but couldn't find a nice interior combo at all. Even in neighboring states. Majority were the cream/beige interior...no way hahaha. So just ended up with black. With the black wheels, it's literally ALL black lol even the exhaust tips. Though I'm going to paint the calipers yellow this weekend.

Roop94,

Agree, i like the 2012-2014 model more, but couldn't find one that would fit me, so bought a restyled one... And yes, the front used to be much more distinctive, but the options on the new one are great. It was a pretty nice bargain for me to pass

Only if i could find the front chrome lip to replace for a decent price... The previous owner got it quite damaged, but i don't feel like paying $500+ per entire molding...

I’ve had the 09, 14, and now 15. Hands down my favorite was the 14. That car was lethal looking and turned heads. Nice to meet you fellas!

just upgraded to LED reverse light and 30mm spacer in rear. Looks amazing
