vibration with Pirelli P Zero tires 2014 CLS550
Hey guys, I just bought a 2014 CLS550 that had only 7,700 miles on it. It sat a lot in the previous owners garage and I bought it certified new. I felt vibration in the steering wheel and passenger seat and sort of hear a reverb. I took it back to my dealer and we did a road test as I suspect maybe there may be flat spots but it's not horrible just annoying after coming out of a nice E350. They are on 19" rims. They Road forced balanced all 4 tires and the right rear was out 12 grams. Now it seems to bounce a little more. Is this normal for these tires? If so any good recommendations to replace them with?

I just bought an e550 with the same issue it turned out it was two bent wheels. Take the car to an indy shop and inspect the wheels when they put it on the balancing machine.
I also had noises comin from everywhere and that ended up being a bad differential and bad wheel bearings.
Take your car for a total inspection somewhere else.
My MB dealership tried to rip me off they brushed me off, I found out about all these issues going to somewhere else.
Please do not assume it is just a bad tire.
I bought my car from Mercedes Miami 6 weeks ago.
Tomorrow I am going to the dealership to raise hell.
but that is another story.
Just do yourself a favour and get the car inspected ASAP.
Dont assume MB dealerships are honest.
Regards and good luck, congrats on the purchase.
I am looking at a CLS as well hopefully They will take my car back and sell me the CLS.
cheers

I just picked up my cls550. And I feel a little bit of vibration as well. I will get it inspected on Wed.
I’ll star with balancing all four tires and and alignment.
It’s so sad mercedes techs are useless. Its a CPO and they cant get an alignment right.
congrats!

I have these same tires on my 2017 cls 550 and at around 17,000 miles both front tires developed blisters (bubbles on the side wall). The MB tech said Pirelli won't cover that under warranty because they are almost always caused by under inflated tires or going over pot holes. I do not believe I have done either. As it was, I ended up paying $600 for replacements, which turned out even louder than the originals. I wish I had replaced them with some other brand.

No, they did not tell me, however, they inflated the new tires to 40 lbs which is simply too much. I want them a little over inflated to help protect them better even if the ride is a little harsher. I always had 35 lbs pressure for all four, although the instructions on the gas lid shows 32 lbs. The door jam readings are much higher but this for German driving doing 100 mph on the autobaun. That kind of driving requires inflation to be in the 40s but the gas lid instructions should be fine for normal driving. Nonetheless, I put a few extra pounds in just to be safe. When I got back home from the dealer I adjusted my pressure to 38 all around. So far so good.
