B Pillar
So my B-pillar cover is has been getting worse and worse. I have a feeling that the previous owner used a harsh soap which caused the clear coat to peel. I was about to cover them in gloss black vinyl but I hate the look of orange peel that most of the gloss vinyl have. I have that look on my roof. I absolutely love the pillarless look that the covers gave. Any suggestions before I buy new covers from the dealer?

I've done similar repairs for the trim pieces on the convertibles using vinyl. Not all wraps have that orange peel effect.

I had the same issue on my 2012 since I bought it and it bothered me so much. My B pillar was in even worse shape then yours. I found adhesive stick on covers on ebay from a company called CFcovers for only $39.95 for A, B, and C pillars on both sides. They are scratch and fade resistant with uv protectant on them. So easy to install and now my pillars look brand new! Highly recommend them. I was originally debating replacing them with oem covers or having them vinyl wrapped, but so glad I didnt. Will post pics soon.

@nysupraman , how are these CFcovers doing after couple of months?
My X218 developed the exact same symptoms as every other in this thread:
I would like to go OEM, but I'm afraid if I remove it, it will never fit as good as the original once did... - did the covers you bought require you to remove the pillar for installation?

They are still in mint condition! I would highly recommend them!

Did you have to remove the B pillar trim to install the new covers or you just slapped it on? And would you be able to provide a link to the item from eBay? both of the trims on mine are out. I tried vinyl wrapping myself...now it's bubbly lol

lazy Sunday afternoon -- finally got myself to do it. Turns out it's a straightforward and easy job. Even putting the wrap and making sure it sticks is not that difficult - you can easily cut 5mm excess and roll it under the groove, where it will be hold together by the rubber seal that goes around the pillar. Cool thing. Even with the bubble I left out (not even seeing it until I pulled the camera with a flash), I am super happy with end result:
And a final product, ladies and gents:
