Upgrade head unit
I have a Beautiful 2014 CLS550 4matic with 618.5 hp after tuning ...its a monster . I would love to upgrade my screen with a OEM 2015 "radio head unit" screen ( not sure what to call it) I know there are android 10 inch aftermarket units but have read to many nightmares. Does anyone know if this can be done with OEM or a reliable aftermarket ? Please help ...I hate my tiny stock screen its to , well um bland lol.

I've heard a lot of great thiings about the android touchscreens. what have you heard?
you should buy off of aliexpress not one of these middle man vendors that charge a mark up. the sellers on there also have excellent customer service

I believe OP wants to go with OEM COMAND 5S1 rather than the android touch screen. Chris is the only one I know of who does a package. I suppose you could source the parts yourself. and find someone to program.

Hey Mario , no issues at all , including structural , there is a local place by me which a guy from Germany comes once a month to retune european all wheel drive cars. They retuned the stock ECU.

I have a general question , why is a 2014 cls550 come up as a c218? shouldnt it say w218?Mercedes-Benz Coupes & Cabriolets > CLS Coupe (C218)

2012 CLS 550 Launch Edition
I believe you have to swap out a tonne of things like the amp and rear camera to upgrade the pre-facelift COMAND to the new ones and it can get very expensive.
I'm on the NTG4 that they put in the 2012s for a few months before they started using the NTG4.5 so I've been looking for a similar solution. I really want Apple CarPlay but there isn't a nice OEM looking solution.
