Colorado CLS550 owners?
Hey y'all
I'm bringing my CLS up to Denver. How are they in WInter? If I recall, there's really only about 15-20 days of snow on the ground. Would love to hear Colorado experience.

I've only had my CLS550 4Matic since early February, but haven't experienced any problems yet. I live in Castle Pines, about 1200ft higher than Denver and we do get more snow.. Is your CLS a 4Matic? What type of tires do you use and how much driving do you do. If you plan on driving in the mountains, there is a new law requiring snow tires on RWD cars. If AWD, you can use AllSeason tires. Summer Performance tires won't cut it here. Welcome to Denver, Marv

Yeah, mine's RWD. Coming from Texas where people don't care about AWD.

OK, driving here in Winter is very unpredictable. For instance, last night we got 8" of snow and today it's sunny and the roads are fine. It totally depends on when you drive and what tires you have. There will be times when we have snow cover and cold temps for 3-4 days, but that's unusual. The best bet is to use AllSeason tires and take it easy and you should be fine. Going into the mountains might be challenging at times, just depends. 19" Performance Tires will get hard during cold temps and give you little to no grip. Marv

Maybe some RWD owners will chime in and give you better info. I've lived here 15 years and always had AWD vehicles, so I may be off on my advice. Though I know for sure Summer Performance tires won't work in cold temps, Marv

I lived close to you for about 10 yrs. Highlands Ranch and then Parker. I recall snow tends not to last too long on the ground. If the RWD is truly unusable on those 15-20 days of the year, I might pick up an older AWD RAV4 or MDX just for a utility vehicle.

I'm in northern colo. 4matic works great in snow. If you are coming from Texas and have rwd, you will be the guy we don't want to drive near. Get good tires and take it easy driving, learn how your car responds in snow and ice. Drive slower. Don't tailgate.

Well, I did live in Colorado for 24 yrs (Colorado Springs, Black Forest, and Parker) before moving to Texas.
I did see these All Season tires at Discount Tire:
NANKANG NS-25 A/S UHP
Maybe I'll get a set of these for the season..
