Parktronic - 2 Red lights and a beep
This intermittent problem started a couple of weeks ago. After the beep, the sensors turn off. I cleaned all the sensors but it still happens here and there. I am thinking if the sensors were bad, it would beep every time and not on every 2-3 starts.

Any suggestions as to what could be the cause of this?

I can't tell you what it is, but you need to get it read with a MB Star Diagnostics system to get you on the right track. Marv

Mine does the same thing, I turn the car off and on and it ends up working fine. So weird and random.

Yeah, this happens randomly. @konigstiger What specifically about the battery should I check?

Fully charged, given intermittent problem occasionally this is the cause.

Do you know if this the original battery in your car? If so, you're working on borrowed time. Especially in a car that is so electronically controlled. You should also check the auxiliary battery too. Marv

i dont think its auxiliary battery issue.. i brought mine in for speed sensor service/fix and mentioned it happening to mine and was told the car needed a software update as my eco mode stopped working, as well... i am tuned so i declined said update and since im good with my SA he told me prior to just doing it... see if that is the issue.. i had my aux battery changed and it fixed nothing...

Yeah, I have the OE tune as well so I would prefer not to do a software update. I will start by testing the battery and then go from there.

The date code reads 23rd week of 2012. What is your build date (on the drivers' door post)? I'm betting it's the original battery. Have you had it load tested yet?

I found a replacement battery at Costco in case the load test fails. Does the new battery need to be programmed? I remember it had to for my BMW but not sure about the Benz.

I haven't found any posts on it yet. There are 9V adapters that you plug into your cigarette lighter and it should save your presets (I think). Marv
