Hello everyone,
just bought some genuine cls 63 wheels for my cls 550. They came off a cls 63 and already balanced . Love the look and everything but when I get on the highway around 45mph and hit a bump or a pot hole my car wobbles, it doesn’t shake at all, steering wheel is straight just the wobble. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks

I had that issue with my GTO and it drove me crazy. Front end was aligned, tight, and in great shape. It turned out to be a bent front wheel. Have your local tire store spin the fronts.
Sounds exactly like my issue, it was a bent rim for me, could be tires but in my case I replaced the tires still had to wobble and actually all four were bent. Fixed the wheels and it sounds great now.

Thanks ! I couldn’t believe it when I went to the rim shop either. I did get the seller to replace all four tires when I came back the first time and they did pay for half of the wheels getting straightened. I was satisfied considering I bought the car with 97k miles for $19k couple years ago. Car is running awesome and is so much fun to drive. Next one will be a cpo
Turns out my rack and pinion went out on me in the mechanic shop. From the dealer part goes for 2400 that’s not including labor. Crazy to think what would cause it, my car only has 50k miles on it

It wouldn't go bad in the shop, too much of a coincidence. Look this up in the search box. Someone had one that the shop broke using the wrong tool. Look on eBay for a used one, various aftermarket sources for a new one. You might be able to find one that's rebuilt. Good Luck, Marv

If bolts failed have MB dealer check Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) to see if your VIN is included in attached Service Campaign, if bolts failed repair is free. If not bolts, shop replacement part # 2184608200 used, or current MB re-manufactured 218460820080.
