New Member - Seat Belt Chime has died! Location?

I am a new member, but have been lurking for a few years, I have had an E350, and E400 Coupe, and for the last two years a 2016 CLS400, picture below (often requested for a first post!)
For anything mechanical I go to my dealer, but for other stuff I try to figure it out myself, which I have been able to do with a handful of things over the years thanks to this forum.
In the last week, on my 2016 CLS400, the seat belt warning chime went from working normally, to squealing, and then this morning it seems to have completely failed, one squawk and no more. I know that many would be pleased with the peace that this brings, but I for one am not bothered by the chime, I am more bothered about the fact that something isn't working in my car! It's desmie was very quick, so I didn't have an opportunity to figure out where it's located in order to troubleshoot.
Does anyone have any idea where I can find this little beast, so that I can investigate further?
Thanks in advance.

The silence on this topic is amazing, silent like my seat belt chime

However, today I took a drive into the city, which involved going on the highway. While on the highway, I was signaling to overtake, someone was coming up behind me and while I waited, they went into my blind spot, the blind spot monitor light flashed, and the chime squawked, just like with the seatbelt. I also noticed that it squawks when opening the door after stopping, I forget the exact condition.
Anyway, I have now confirmed that my warning chime is squawking, rather than chiming, under which ever condition triggers it. This makes me think that the chime itself is giving up on being a useful part of the car 🙁
I think it’s buried in the dash, so I guess digging in to the dash is my next step.I will have a hunt thru the forum to see if I can find a how to/guide.

What I found is that there is indeed a speaker on the back of the instrument cluster, and I believe that it's a 'unique us3750A', so onto the next steps. Everything has been re-installed and it's still not working, I know my limits and doing anything to the cluster is beyond them!
Bizarrely I met a guy at the weekend, and in conversation it came up that his neighbor fixes instrument clusters, so I am waiting for a call back from him.

When taking out the dash trim, if you have to 'Remove Audio/COMAND display' the details are below

There are two covers on the back, that once opened, you can get a torx driver (T20, I think), onto the screws inside. Unscrew both, and then lift up and gently pull towards you.

I took my cluster to a local repair shop, and they were able to source and install a new tweeter, and everything is once again working as expected.
So this afternoon, I am off to look at an S450

Thanks @konigstiger for the help along the way!
