Keyless Entry - How to only unlock the driver’s side door?

I know how to unlock only the driver’s side door by pushing the button on the fob, but can I set the keyless entry to only unlock the driver’s door as well when I touch the door? (I have a 2014 CLS 550)

First, do the change on the Smartkey.
Then, Keyless Go will follow the same function.

I’ve done that several times, but it’s still unlocking all of the doors.

Did the red LED signify the change was successful? It should have one long and a short or something along those lines to confirm that it was changed successfully. Do you switch keys often by chance so one is set that way and the other isn't, if not, did you try doing the same for the other key and if it works?

The LED light does flash twice when I change the setting. Every time I set the function it works as it should.

The key I was given when I purchased the car was defective and keyless entry did not work. I purchased and had programmed a new key fob (this happen 2 days ago) and that one works with keyless go and keyless entry. I don’t use the previous key anymore and keep it away from the car so it doesn’t sync.

Should I keep setting the function back on and off over and over till it syncs up perhaps?

I mean definitely doesn't hurt to try but sorry if I didn't understand you correctly, but you are saying you only have one key and no spare because of that? Which mean you can't try the same setting on another key and see if it works?

I have two keys now. One that’s defective (keyless entry and interface with the door handles doesn’t work,; keyless go and the unlocking buttons on the fob sometimes work), and I have the new key fob that works with keyless go, keyless entry, unlocking and locking with the button, and opening the trunk with the button, and the touch interface with the door handles.

Thanks for the clarification and sorry for the confusion, I mean to ask two working keys but you answered it. So the answer is no, you have only one working and one defective, hence why trying to see if the other key you can get the function to work will not be possible since that key is defective. I guess your only choice is to keep trying, sorry that I wasn't able to help out.

Hey, don’t be sorry You’ve been helpful in letting me know that there’s still a possibility it will eventually work. I haven’t driven the car much, so maybe driving it for a while with the new key will help it sync up more (if that’s a thing) and then I can try changing the locking function again. It’s just strange that changing the setting works fine when I push the button on the fob but not when I touch the door.

Hmmm since you mentioned driving, lets start with the battery (well both+1 types, 1. when did you change the keyfob battery 2. when was the starter battery changed 3. if your vehicle has an auxiliary battery, when was that changed)

OP just want to follow up with you, did it finally worked or still not working as intended? What other things did you try?

Nothing new so far. I haven’t had the chance to check on the batteries like you suggested but I’m getting the whole car tuned soon so I’ll add that to the list of things for my mechanic to change. Hopefully that’s the problem. I’ve changed the function on the key several times since my last message and it still hasn’t sync with the ability to use the function by pressing the button on the key.

I see, hopefully it works out.
