Can't decide between Obsidian black or Black

If anyone has Obsidian black could you please post some pics. My dealer doesn't have one in Obsidian so I can't decide. I'm thinking the Metallic black would be better in terms of hiding swirl marks and overall maintenance, but I'm not sure if there's a huge difference between the two paints.

For me the decision was easy - Obsidian Black is simply stunning IMO. The metallic gives it a real class finish which I just don't think you get with standard black.

The pics might not show it up so well - I'll try and get some more for you

Thanks for taking the time to post those stunning pics of your CLS, HRS1702! I see that your vehicle is in pristine condition, but do you have any swirl marks on the paint? If so are they "camouflaged" so to speak by the metallic?

Again beautiful car!

Thanks for the nice words AlaskaCLS. No swirl marks on the paintwork as yet and hope it stays that way! The dealer did a special prep job (not sure of the technicalities but it doesn't involve wax) and it's holding up well. The car is about one month old now, has had 4 or 5 washes and comes up as new every time.

Hope this helps

Flat black is definitely better. In the sun Obsidian looks like there's dust all over the car. Black on Black is definitley the sweetest color for this car.

Thanks for all the input guys. I had the chance to see the obsidian black on a ML 500 and I think I'm gonna stick with obsidian black.
