CLS Fog Light
A lot of times if u are good with your dealer/service rep/tech. They wont even charge u for simple stuff, assuming it doesnt take a really long time.

Ok to change the air filter. what you will do is pull off the 2 ducts going in to the intake
then pull up and the front black plasticks will come off but dont yank on them they are only held in by clips. just pull up!. then you have the main intake box. all you will have to do is push the clip holing it in the back. then pull the whole intake up. really not that hard. then you will need a 25 torks head. undo all the bolts around and replace the filters. then just reinstall. just make sure when you put the intake box back down that you have it fully on the throttle body!
After talking with service manager he told me how to change the lights, which is right on with what you said Joey! Thanks! He also told me how to check the service intervals, what is showing to be done, etc through the steering wheel controls. Now I have a solid idea as to costs to get things done when my service interval is up.
On the air filters Joey, again thanks. I am debating on whether I should just stay with stock or use K&N. I see a lot of debates on filtration and MAF sensor issues. I have used K&N since forever in my E320, and since my 300M had just 60 miles on it new. I never had any problems, and had some performance gains of course, but there again the CLS has a lot of technology in it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
The Buckhead Mercedes location wanted $925 to install an iPod kit, if I had the kit myself and wanted them to install, $625. WTF? I then went over to RBM, they installed my kit for $320. A three hundred dollar difference??

For instance, to stick on a lip spoiler that I bought the Buckhead Butler tire wanted $350 to stick it on. I spoke with one of the install guys, and he said he would stick it on for nothing, don't worry about it. Is that insane or what?

The moral is, it pays to shop around and NEVER EVER EVER (did I say ever) act like money is no object. Learned that from one of my mentors who is worth millions and haggles on a car remote for $100 bucks. LOL.
I may be a little
, but it is frustrating sometimes especially since I am a business owner and extend much courtesy to my customers. I guess that's why they refer and come back to me?
PS - Lip spoiler, the trunk lip spoiler with 3M tapes? $350 for installing that? WOAH!
Oh, Joey, thanks for the post on the foglight, im gonna do that when i get my car on the lift when my wheels come in this friday or early next wk =)
good luck.
