New to the Forum CLS500

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've been reading/searching this forum so much in the past week. I just bought my Black 06 CLS500 April 15. It has 46k miles, Premium Package keyless go, heated/vented seats, nav and voice command.

I Plan on getting the 3 fin amg grill and painting the fins black and leaving the star chrome, clear side markers, lowering module or link (Not sure which? any suggestions?) and Wheels and speed booster. I don't think i will do the euro command unless i can do it for cheap (i dont have kids).

Are there any other mods that look nice/perform well that i missed?

Suggest you go with the 2009 CLS63 2-fin grille. See my signature picture below.

-Does any1 know of a place to buy the 09 AMG Grill?

-Also, What is the best technique for lowering? There is a Carlsson unit for sale on ebay right now for 1500.

khelawanb, You ride is amazing!

I bought my 2009 CLS63 AMG grille from Steve at MBenzNL.com. It was substantially cheaper than buying from the local dealer.

I just thought of something that would look really cool on a CLS. The two raised bumps on the hood of the SLK would look good on the CLS hood. Anyone interested in photoshopping this?

The hood is fine how it is.

Opinions are just like a**holes, everyone has one, and that is yours. I think the car looks great, but there are ALWAYS enhancements that can be made to just about anything and everything. If you think that the hood is fine how it is, why even bother posting?

You may also want to add a Brabus 3-piece Trunk Lid Spoiler, a Lorinser Roof Spoiler and an AMG quad exhaust. I am enclosing a picture of my car which have the two spoilers.

I thought the 09 grill didnt work on the 06-08 models, no mounting tabs or something.

It was a quick swap (10-15 minutes). The upper mounts and the lower right (seen from the rear of the car) and lower middle mounts are the same as the 06. However the lower left is not the same. The grille is holding very well without the lower left mount so I left it loose. I plan to look at it again when I find some time (which I do not have much of at this time).

I really like this car, except for the two tone, everything else is nice.. the bumper, fenders and skirts, grill, Led lights in the front bumper, rims, big brakes and the hood!
