woodgrain dash cracked

woodgrain dash cracked
so this started to happen at about 50k.
what could have caused something like this? no pressure was ever added to the dash. i live in maryland and the weather here changes quite a bit.

2006 CLS500, 21" Interad Turismo Wheels, Renntech Lowering Module
I was thinking of replacing mine with the glossy type finish. Mines an 06 and has that dull grain finish.

If you have extended or factory warrantee remaining, the stealership will replace it for free... I did for my wooden steering wheel....

Not affiliated, I repeatedly quote their pricing so members can comparison shop given the fact that participating MBUSA dealers fulfill OEM parts therefore in theory, I see no reason why local dealers or online suppliers cannot match or better parts.com pricing.
