I have 2 major problems with it. the top 3rd looks like absolutely nothing changed...how cheap. The front does not distinguish it very well. I dont know, I just dont like the new designs, I think this is similar to to the chris bangle years at BMW.

Why do manufacturers even bother with masking test cars?
It's not like say, Ferrari can mask one of their upcoming cars and people will look at it and wonder "gee, is that a Kia?"
And I don't want to hear how the competition can "copy" the design. Come now, you think the competition doesn't know what the design looks like before it's even made? These are car companies we're talking about, not Apple.

the front is nice, kind of like the facelifted S class. rear is not bad IMO (lol Brak). side is ok. i actually like it more than the current one, especially from the back.

I was never in love with the "old one" (although I do love many things about it now, along with not loving many things), so perhaps I'll like this one better, if it makes a better impression.
The sculpting, like all new Benz lines at their times, is second to none.
My main gripes, are the possible bulkiness of the front (only from some angles, thanks to the EU Regs), the giant square mirrors that don't coincide with the rest of the car (again, thanks to EU Laws), and mainly, the horribly messy, and not well thought out side character line. It starts at some random point at the rear hump, and just goes upward (which never looks as good as downward lines) into the fender. Ruins the whole car for me. The rear kinda looks like a Nissan Maxima seemingly, but all new M-B butt's seem to suck, so meh. Aside from that, it looking promising.
