20 inch offset and tyre help needed
Hi from England!
I've just bought some 20's for my 06 CLS (320CDI, as petrol is expensive over here!) Just need some help as to if they will fit etc. It does not have the airmatic suspension, has the normal spring and damper set up. New wheel spec's are:-
Front - 20x8.5 ET35 with 255x35x20 tyre
Rear - 20x10 ET32 with 275x35x20 tyre
Will I have any rubbing issues? I've offered the front wheel up to the hub and the tyre is very close to the suspension arm coming off the top of the hub. I'm looking at putting a 3-5mm spacer on the front to improve the fitment slightly aswell.
Can anyone advise if these will fit?
If all is well and they fit, I'll be looking at putting some H&R lowering springs on to drop the car 25-30mm, am I going to be running into rubbing problems if I do this with these wheel specs?
Any help or guidance will be greatly appriciated
Thanks

245/30/20 front 285/25/20 Rears
Or
255/30/20 Front 295/25/20
should be fine with size wheels you have if use the set up you posted and lower your car you more then likely having rubbing issue IMO

I agree with Miraclewhip CLS, you should go 255/30 front and 285 or 295/25 rear.
I run 20" Mandrus Stuttgart Silver with 255/30 & 305/25.
I have Airmatic on my 500, but drop the car a little bit (2") using adjustable links.
Regards,
Frenchy.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Everyone seems to be running 30 and 25 profile tyres, will I be ok to run these 35's until they wear out? As they have 5mm+ left on them so seems a waste to get rid of them now.
I'm now thinking in the future to space the fronts out another 5mm and the rear's out another 3mm.

I'm out here on the driveway at night, it's dark and cold, and these rear wheels are still being a ballache.
Wheel is 20x10 et42 with a 16mm spacer, looks like the tyre is still going to catch. Should I use a 20mm spacer? Tyre size is 275/35
Help!

offset way to high et42 CLS et should be 25-20-15 (low) can't help and confuse on what you trying to accomplish ... maybe you need to look into new wheels with proper offset because from what have posted tire size & offset are off way off IMHO
