20 inch rim size and offset question?
I want to put on:
Front 20 x 8.5
Rear 20 x 10
Offset - Front +20 / Rear +25
Tire Front 245/35/20
Tire Rear 275/30/20
Would this setup work ok?
Anyone know the length of lug bolt I should be using?

Rear 20 x 10

Is that for your E500 ? it is an aggressive setup with these offsets but I think that might still fit for the w211 , but as far as the lug bolts it will always depend on the type and model of aftermarket wheels , your best bet for bolts is to dry fit the the wheels first I like to get full 8 turns of the lugs to lock up no less

No I am inquiring for a cls500. I know the offsets should be fine my only concern is the tire setup since I will be using 245/35/20 up front and 275/30/20 in rear. I'm set on this setup of tires because the tires that are practically new coming off my old setup that was on my eclass.

Hello,
If you go for 20", then the setup is wrong :
you should go for :
245/25/20 front
&
275/25/20 Rear,
Here is my setup : Mandrus Stuttgart Sliver
9 & 11 x 20
255/30 front
305/25 rear

I ran 20x8.5 fronts with 245/35/20 Falken FK452 tires and 20x10 rears with 285/30/20 tires with a 20 ET front and rear. Sat flush front and back. So your setup will be fine with a 25 ET in the rear and the narrower tire. BTW, mine was stock height, no ELM.

wont look nie it wil be in the body......im running 20 by 9.5 n 20 by 11.5 on aggresive offset...an i think i can still thorw a 5mm spacer ...but it will rub the liner...you should go min 20 by 9 n 20 by 11.....with 255/30 fr n 305/25 rears to set it off right....or add 10 mm spaer front n 15 mm spacer rear to your setup....

Why are you going with those sizes & offsets? Is your car lowered?

I decided not to go with this set up its an old posting. I ended up getting 245/35/20 fronts and 295/30/20 rears lowered on a carlsson elm. I went with 35/30 series for more cushion.
Did you end up getting the 255/35/20 front? Did you see above on MAXWERKS he had 255/35/20 as well.

The tires you mention are OK , the 245 is fine for the 8.5 and 275 is fine for 120 ...As long as you know they will be roughly 3/4" larger diameter than stock OEM ...My renntech CLS came with 255/35- 285-30 they did it on purpose to have more meat on the side walls but these were full 1" larger diameter , not to my liking visually but they worked fine no rubbing

off set wheels
Hello all
I just purchased my first cls 500 and I would like some advice on wheels. I'm looking to with a 20 inch wheel but I want that huge lip, what off set and tire size should I go. Keep in mind this is a bone stock car and my wife drive it mostly so I don't want any issue with rubbing any where when we turn or in the rear. Also what size lug bolt will I need? Thanks all!
