Looks pretty - what wheels are those ? Which year CLS ? Just based on some of the pics, that may have been taken in a country I know a little about. SIN ? Which area in SIN ? 550, 500 or 350 ? Not sure which models are sold over there hence my qn.

yup. its in Singapore. its a '06 350. 500/550s are very very rare in Singapore due to the extra taxes here on big cars. if there is , might be outta my budget range too ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The car was totally stock/original when i got it. im not much of a fan of stockie so I have to get it slightly touchup![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

So it would be the 268 hp 258 lb V6 engine ? Or at least that is what 2006's were equipped with here in the US. Are those 20 inch wheels you're riding on ? Those would not survive on potholed northeastern US streets so my 550 needs OEM 18 inch AMG wheels. But roads are so good in SIN that you could ride a long time on thin rubber and you'll be fine. Congrats, looks striking and maybe one of the few CLSs there I guess. The pic which gave it away was the one with the pedestrian sign. I knew it was SIN then. Must have been some way out from the center of town cos there were no buildings in the background, which is rare for SIN. And yes, saw the typical HDB parking lot surface as well in one of the other pics.
Kind of good to have a 2006 I guess cos your depreciation is capped to 2 years between now and 2016 when you get back PARF ? A loooong time back, I did that deal on a 9 year old Jag.
Nice license plate number. Hope it is worth some $$. Keep us updated on how you do with the C219. BTW what color is it ? Looks sort of gray but what does Mercedes call it ?

You r very familiar with the policies in sg. U got all those right. Typically cls350 depreciates about 34k ish when brand new, till the last 2 yrs they drop to 15k depre or there abouts. Cars in Singapore only valid hot 10 years after which cars are to be scrapped or we have to pay government a lump sum. At the moment the lump sum stands at 75k.
So that being said, a brand new Toyota corolla cost $132,000 sgd which is about usd$110,000.
Oops , sounds like I'm whining again!!
Anyway, the tyres are 30 profiles so they are pretty thin I guess n potholes are to be avoided![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The license plate is indeed nice. My wife was the first to notice it n she likes it a lot. It stands for longevity.
I'm glad u noticed so much from those pics...
