Indium grey CLS 500 Launch color
I just put my name on the Launch edition at my dealership today. It is indium grey with cashmere beige interior. Launch package was $8500 over base price but the spec sheet did not include what was in the package. Launch editions just showed up in the computer systems at the dealerships last night. I will receive my car January 17th...launch date.
Has anyone seen indium grey? Does it go well with cashmere beige interior?

This may be Iridium Gray. Awhile back in another forum it was mentioned that this may be "Perlite" in Europe and Iridium in USA. However Iridium Gray is not showing on US colors. I ended up ordering Black. I think this gray is very good looking and would have ordered it.

Is the burgundy red CLS you posted the CLS with the AMG styling package? It looks like it has the AMG "spoiler" but lacks any AMG badging on the right rear trunk. Also curious if you can get the "sunset red" interior with the burgundy red exterior?

That is indium grey launch edition!
The first photo attached does appear to be the CLS 500 launch edition in the indium grey. Note the seven spoke wheels which will also be only on the launch edition. Other things included in the launch package are active ventilated seats, matte oak wood (kind of orange like chestnut), wood steering wheel and shift, harmon kardon surround sound stereo with 6 cd changer, cashmere beige nappa interior, with black floormats. I got this info from one of the people who made the selections for the launch edition with Mercedes in New Jersey.

So again, his point was just that this is the COLOR.
In any case, colors are really difficult to show in computer photos, as everyone's computer is set differently.

Indium grey launch edition
It may not be a US spec car but it does have the identical appearance of the photo sent to me by the Mbusa CLS product specialist. I have seen the indium grey on the Mercedes Spain website which has the configurator setup with all the European exterior colors. The Spanish website is by far the best for exterior color display as the it has the 360 view and can be magnified considerably. You just have to stumble through the Spanish to get to the configurator.
The CLS 500 in the states will have 5 spoke wheels except for the launch edition which will have the seven spokes identical to the picture shown. CLS55 will have the sporty 5 spoke. The indium grey may be offered later in the states as an option but MB has not made a decision on that yet. So for now, indium grey is only on the launch edition. But there are quite a few of them available for sale on Monday as every US dealership is receiving one. I am told there will be a total of 1000 launch units.
Mbusa also sent me a photo of the launch interior. I am a little concerned about the matte burl oak wood...it is sort of an orange color. Mbusa says that they consider it to be similar to chestnut. Has anyone ever seen this oak on a MB before? Thoughts? Photos?

However, try talking to your dealer to see if they can custom order your car for a small premium. I think the cost is $1,000 to choose any exterior and interior color that is available. I know for a fact that Jaguar offers that service and some Mercedes dealers too. It might be worth it if you really want something rare and unique!
