We are still guessing at this moment but if MB sees demand to be high and decides to build a limited amount, they could boost it up and actual street prices could easily go in the 200s ala GT3RS with prices going crazy in the 400s for the first year.
I am still so impressed with used prices of the GT-S staying in the 130s.

The black series will be limited production, the GTR will not. By producing more units they can offset/lower the production costs on the larger wide body and etc. it's actually very smart from a manufacturing standpoint
GTS are starting to drop into the mid to low 120s, once the lower level GT comes out, that's when they will really start depreciating

The $160K number doesn't include ceramic brakes. Even at $170's it's a deal compared to the Porsche GT3RS which your not likely to see on a track as they're mostly garage queens. Waiting for some Ring times.
My GTS came in in the $160's but it has a lot of equipment and Solarbeam yellow. So just n case this is a deal of the century I ordered one.

All of a matter of perspective. AMG is using the Porsche marketing book.
The GT-R is about 50% more $$ than the base GT.
To be honest, I am not sure I see the value unless money is no object, you will track the car and you gotta have the top of the litter.
Otherwise for street use, a simple tune and downpipes will give you about 90% of the GT-R prowess.

Pricing has not yet been set by MB. The final price will not be released until at least the time the official DOG (dealer order guide) is released. Final prices were not released on the GT-S until over a month after the DOG was released so you're going to have to sit tight on final pricing for a bit.
