Just returned from the drag strip
I went to the San Antonia Raceway on Friday for their test and tune.
Ran the car six times. My best ET was 11.2 @ 129 with a Eurocharge Tune.
Traction was an issue. My best time was obtained when using Race Start. It's not easy to set up when you are staging and the lights are coming down. I have no problem using race start on the street. But at the drags, I felt somewhat rushed.
Overall, I was very pleased with my time and mph.
Oh, my 60' was a slow 2.0. If I can get my 60' in the 1.8 range, I would be very close to 10's

Cool
You should put this inof in my thread called Drag Times on this forum.
I ran 129 with the Weistec tune. Big traction issues too and slow (2.0s) 60' times. Without the tune I ran a 1.79s 60'

Next time out, I will try a different approach on the take off. No race start...
Just a soft take off and gradually get into the power and hopefully a better 60'

With an ECU tune you could have probably launched it better without launch control, especially at a prepped drag strip. I was able to lay down my best ET with tune and headers without launch control assist. Launch control is a factory set engine RPM and rev limiter that was determined to be the best launch RPM to limit wheelspin while keeping rev's high enough to not bog down the motor on a public asphalt or concrete road surface , it has no way of knowing you are on a prepped drag strip with enhanced surface traction or an ECU tune which will obviously boost your HP at that set RPM. I guarantee if you would have had more time to get more practice and passes in your would end up getting your best ET without race start. Still a decent time though, nice work!

I will work on rolling out at the start and gradually increasing throttle input.
I use to race a 700 hp Corvette and it worked pretty well.
Thanks for your advise, appreciate it.
