I can also confirm that the Tikt ducts can take a BEATING! I unintentionally hit a curb/bump/turtle/gator (bumps on apex) at about 90MPH and it sounded pretty bad. I for sure thought that I had ripped off the duct or broke it. Once I checked it was perfectly fine.

So I know everyone in this post has a GT, and that I am out of place for this. I track my 2019 E63 pretty hard and wont be getting anything light weight until the new gt3 comes out. I do regret not getting CCB and was hoping if anyone here can point me in the right direction for brake upgrades and if by any chance these brake ducts would fit a e63. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

having had several E63’s over the years and tracked them I recommend the following:

- swap out the brake fluid for something good with high temp capabilities like Endless 650, SRF or the like
- install a set of titanium backing plates front and rear behind all your brake pads. These will help eliminate some of the heat transfer between the pads and Calipers.
- swap your tires out for something more track capable in the corners because the car is heavy.
- get the suspension module and dial in the rear so it sways a bit less under heavy braking or weight transfer for the track. This way you can adjust for the track and then return to normal for the ride home
- change pads if you are heavy on them to something more track oriented.
- cool down laps are your friend.

to the best of my knowledge the ducts will not work on the e63 as the suspension setup is completely different.

hope this helps.

enjoy and stay safe

Happy to help!

make sure to get both front and rear. Speak to Ron @ Ansixauto and he is here on the forums with the handle Ronac. You can also try Yperion Titanium from Russia. They can be reached on Facebook or Instagram.

I got my Pagids from Northstar Motors, one of their North American dealers. Marc was very helpful and contacted Pagid to ensure correct sizing for my GTC's iron brakes.
Marc@northstarmotorsports.com

I highly recommend them. They seem to have a lot of Pagid SKUs in stock, so I assume they have RSC1s.

I'm just a few short weeks from tracking my GTR for the first time and have a few questions. I see some people using the blue painters tape for paint protection, is it one layer, is it necessary and recommended locations to apply? How much damage can I expect to the wheels? Whats the usual cause of tracking wheel damage? I just received new BBS LM R's in OEM spec that are going on the car.

Thanks

The whole car will more or less get blasted, but the main areas are the front, lower 1/3 of area of side/rocker and behind rear tires.
Worst area is just in front of rear tires.
Rims just build up of brake dust and sometimes they will pick up road debris, but mostly heat from calipers/rotors fries any coatings over time.

I won't track a car without at least the whole front from the windshield forward protected by some quality form of PPF. Also, windshields can take terrible abuse from surface debris being kicked up from cars in front at speed, and some cars with poor tunes; (this seems to apply to older vehicles and 'race cars' in my experience), can throw out hot hydrocarbons onto the windshield which also
really causes damage. Clearplex or some other form of windshield protection film is also your friend here. Xpel sells 'Trackwrap?' iirc which is a temporary form of PPF that you might want to check into, but any areas that are going to be hit by debris should be protected. As for wheels you should be fine as long as you stay on the circuit.

I agree with all of the above. don’t track your car without PPF, if you do your car will be a mess after...

After a year of searching I finally got my hands on an AMG GT4 wing. I am having it installed tomorrow. the picture shows the regular GTR mounts and not the GT4 ones. interior trunk assembly has to come off for a proper install.

Very cool, are you doing anything to balance the front aero?

I have the GT4 dive panes/canards installed on the car already and the active aero acts like a 3.5 inch spliltter, allegedly, according to Mercedes engineers. To my understanding GT4 car has the large splitter because active aero is not allowed in their series.

Damn that GT4 wing looks legit. Any dimensions and weight comparison to the existing one?

I would say its maybe 25% larger overall. I didn't take great pictures. I would say it might be slightly heavier than stock wing maybe 2lbs. I would have to double check. The stock wing felt hollow once I took it off if that makes any sense.

Sad part is that it will not fit the PRO from stock.

The GT4 mounts only fit on the GTR section. So basically someone with a pro would need to get the regular GTR trunk section where the wing is and go from there. I thought about another solution which would be just using the GT4 wing and not the mounts and when I put it on my car the screw holes did not line up.

My buddy has a pro and we are currently looking for solutions on how he can get the wing and as of right now it's getting the regular GTR trunk section.

Ahhh gotcha, thanks for the input bud, really appreciate it!

I don't think it'll be hard to get the central trunk assembly from the GTR but it's been a pain to try and find the GT3/4 wing.

Is there anyway you can share with me where/how I can order the same wing you have?

Much appreciated!

I got from a person in Germany who works closely with various teams who have AMG GT4s. As of now he is checking his options to see if he can get more parts so as of right now he is on hold.

I think this should have been the wing on GT R Pro too. Considering the GT2 RS, GT3 RS have larger wings.

Just noticed the gurney flap. Totally cool.
