Installed custom protection for the coolers (Pic heavy)

After reading some of the other threads on the topic, and dealing with the amount of road debris we have here in Dallas, I researched and ordered some mesh that fit the style and material I wanted, and it just came in yesterday. Since the weather was garbage for driving, I figured I'd dive into a bumper removal and mesh install, and so far I'm VERY happy with it.

Looks great. I had to do similar on my Evora due to a rock puncturing my condenser. Mind sharing where you got the mesh from?

I ended up going with this particular setup:

https://www.customcargrills.com/prod...d=Perf_Hex_B16

I just sandwiched it between the original mesh and the air dam. As long as it's trimmed tightly, you can reattach it all without too much issue, and it's not going anywhere.

Unfortunately this wasn't an option for the middle lower section, so I used 5x mini, black, zip ties in inconspicuous locations to affix it.

Good effort and will be interesting to see how much debris that prevents accumulating.

...... fair bit of work there, you may as well have Face Lifted it, while you were at it

Thanks! Was nervous to take it all apart, but I ended up learning a good bit about how it's all assembled, which gives me confidence for future minor repairs/modding.

Next items on the list are the CF side skirts and front splitter, as well as full autoflex job.

Lol, I'm not sure how much random debris it will prevent from accumulating, but as long as it keeps the semi's around here from throwing a rock through the coolers, I'm PERFECTLY fine with the time it took to do.

The only face lift I'd do to the car, is wider fenders/rear bumper from the GTC, tbh. I don't care for the Panamericana Grille in the least.

My rear diffuser collects a lot of debris too, but I was really surprised how much accumulated on yours! Can't believe they chose to overlook that.

Honestly, I wonder if the previous owner didn't get stuck, at speed, on a fresh stripped or gravel road. There was literally an inch+ of buildup in there. Then again, there is little in the way of a filter to keep the debris out, and the slats are a good half inch wide each.

Also, my CEL cleared itself after taking the car out for a 60 mile jaunt today. Made me feel a bit better.

I actually came across them when I was researching sources for the mesh, and their option variety are great, but a lack of powder coating options or online pricing turned me off from it.

Radiator protection

Hello everyone,

Anyone need radiator protection material? I purchased and completed the job. It came out great. There is still enough to get what I did which is the 2 outside inter cooler grills and the lower middle section. I paid $100 for the sheet. $40 I’ll cover shipping and it’s out the door next day.

Item has sold! I will mention CustomCarGrills.com were easy to deal with. They shipped same day. Here’s a link to original purchase.
