2016 AMG GTS Tire Sizes

Hi everyone,

I have looked through the threads and have tried to gather as much of this info as possible, but I still have a couple questions.

First, this is on stock 2016 AMG GTS wheels. (19x9 and 20x11)

Which of the following tires work with the stock wheels. Trying to avoid rubbing but need all seasons at some point this year (Pacific North West)
- Front
- 275/35/19
- 285/35/19
- Rear
- 305/35/20
- 305/30/20

Sorry if this is repetitive. I saw that 305s would fit in the back but I wasn't sure about which aspect ratio

Thanks fam!

Stock uses 265/35/19 and 295/30/20. Can use the 305/30/20

Just be aware that some tires run wider than others even know they were listed as the same size. The Michelin P4 S for example is a lot more square than the super sport and it’s about 1/4 inch wider.

Ok, but the fronts can’t go larger than 265 correct?

You can go 275 front, 315 rear, on stock wheels. I went 275 front, 305 rear, but only because you can't get the PS4S in 315 for the rear.

Ive been recommended the Toyo R888R's but I heard they weren't great or even good in the rain. I live in South Florida and we some times tend to get hit hard with rain. I drive mine daily. What are your guys thoughts? I want something with the best traction possible. My other option I was going to go with were the Michelin sport cup2. What are your thoughts? 305/30/20's is what I am going with.

P4S all the way. My car really hooks up well and with the super sports it lost traction constantly. These tires are fantastic in the rain as well and they last a long time.

I’ve used the R triple 8’s on my Nissan GTR and hated them. Noisy as hell on the street and not trustworthy in any amount of rain. Plus they heat cycled rapidly on track. Granted the 888R might be much improved, but I strongly agree that if the PS4 fits, its your best choice for a high performance street tyre.
