Hey fellas -

Any of drive all year round in the Pacific Northwest? The GTR Pro should arrive in October/November and I’m planning on ordering a set of wheels and tires that will do alright on lower temperature rain days as a DD.

suggestions?

Is there much snow/ice in the Northwest?

I would think you don’t need to sacrifice that much performance if you’re just dealing with rain and cooler temps. PS4S are pretty good in the rain at highway speeds.

Good question. I am over on Vancouver Island and live up on a mountain. We see into the freezing temperature and a little bit of snow as well. Mostly rain and cold. I'll take a peek at the PS4s as well for this car. Thanks!

Are the PS4s made in a sizing for the GTR? If so they are a great tyre and would be my street tyre of choice.

The above two tyres I posted are in fact the same size as the ROW option tyre for the car, so they’re slightly wider than the OEM MPSC 2s. They are also slightly less ‘tall’, (diameter), so your speedometer will be lower by a few mph btw.

It doesn't look like they do. Not for the ceramic brakes anyway. Quick check though.

I don’t think PS4S comes in GT R sizes, they are probably the very best daily useable high performance tires. I heard from my friends over in Asia being able to source GT R size PS4S from European vendor, however, as I reached out, nothing comes back with confirmation. Really hope there are more tire selections for GT R.

The PS4 is NOT a winter tire.

Nope. I think sub 10 degrees Celcius (50f) it is pretty firm and doesn't stick much if at all. I had the previous version out on my GT350R and was all over the track even in temperatures slightly warmer than that.
