Anybody order a GT GTC GTR lately waiting on allocation
Waiting on an allocation/ build date on a 2020 GTC I won’t bore you with the details of what my dealer told me but I was just wondering if anybody out there had recently put a deposit on a build and what they were told as far as an allocation or a bill date I am out on Long Island New York .

They don’t have exactly what I want ,Carbon brakes with selenite grey black interior carbon etc

If you check out Autotrader there are some grey GTRs across the country. Some new and some uses with steep discounts.

There is a factory incentive (at least in Canada) of $25K from head office to dealers, to clear out 2019s.
I got more than 25% off MSRP for a brand new fully loaded GTC!
Doesnt make sense to order a 2020 until these are gone. Besides, the 2020 interior is not nearly as nice. They lost the bespoke “V8” center console and the shift lever is oddly no longer centered.
Digital dash? In some ways better but in other ways not. Analog gauges will be part of the charm of this car when everything is digital.

Again, I don't want a 2019 and you don't know what kind of discount I got on my 2020. I drove a 2019 and a 2020 and actually think the exhaust is louder on the 2020. It is certainly louder than my 17 C63s cab. I don't buy cars that make sense. I buy what I want because I work hard and life can be short. If I was worried about value and/or depreciation, I wouldn't have any of my cars. I'm going to install a Renntech tune as well when it comes in that doesn't make sense either to most people.

Personally, if the price were the same for 2019 and 2020, I would still get the 2019 because I vastly prefer the bespoke/unique center console and analogue gauges.

For me, cc brakes are a major turn-off. To each his own.
The only must have option on the GTC is the active engine mounts. Otherwise, it's all personal preference.
I will say the upgraded Burmester is A LOT better than the standard. I have heard both on lengthy drives. The base Burmester is not that impressive. If you never listen to music, it doesn't matter. Otherwise, if you can spec it, get the upgraded.

I didn’t order the CC brakes as I prefer steel for strictly street use. The benefit of CC is for track use as they don’t fade like steel when hot. For normal driving, I think steel has stronger stopping power especially compared to my 458 that requires “bedding” the brakes routinely to improve performance.
However, like many of us have stated, to each his own and we should all be happy we each can get what we want!
