For me, this video validates my decision to go with high tech silver. It really shows the lines, creases (especially fender lips) and contrasts well with the carbon. Not to mention it's their traditional motorsports colour!

If you expand and look behind the middle pic of the SLS there's a 2020 500 mile silver magno GTR that they have for sale.

That thing is absolutely stunning! So much more presence than my designo white GTR had.
If I didn't have the BS coming in I would have bought this one on the spot.

I forget if the BS was available in the matte silver but that would also look epic.

That is because new EU noise regulations. I guess after market exhaust will do the trick.

Heads Up:

Early on there was a DA1 Package Code that included Keyless Go.

It disappeared for the Black Series with no explaination on BS orders and on the MB DOG.

It now seems that if you want Keyless Go you need to add the P17 option $800

Glad I had the option to not select lane tracking package, few scary experiences fighting to get into the right lane, cant imagine with race-car like brakes.

Does the lane tracking package include active lane tracking or is it just the steering wheel buzz?

Is Lane Keeping Assist not Active Lane Assist. so is just the steering vibration.

I hate Active Brake Assistance and religiously turn it off even before putting the selector to Drive.
Had a few very close calls when the system "thought" the collision was inevitable and it slammed on the brakes at worst possible moment when trying to squeeze between a semi in the middle lane and a slow poke on the left lane.
I was extremely lucky I wasn't rear ended....

While I wait for the fast car, secsie things are happening elsewhere.

Barring further pandemics she's hopefully 2/3 months away from completion.

It will hopefully help make up for the BS's lack of melodious exhaust notes.

Hope you don't mind me sharing, I heard her in person for the first time and I can't stop smiling like an idiot.

Couldnt agree more, an AMG GT in Magno Iridium Silver has been on top of my car want list for years now, I was finally in the place to purchase one and after 6 months of searching I finally found the perfect unit

2018 GTC, 6000 miles, 2+ years factory warranty remaining, Exclusive Diamond Stitch Nappa Saddle Brown interior and carbon fibre exterior pkg, 3D High Output Burmester sound system; $20k in options. The Magno Iridium is stunning on the GT. Can’t WAIT for it to arrive .... and yes I know, bummer the front plate bracket was installed 🥺

I've been told by my dealer that my car is currently sitting at the port waiting for a ship to be assigned to it. It's been like this for over 3 weeks with no movement and no time frame on when it will get here.

You will love the car, this is my '18 GTC. Stage 3 RennTech, lots of add on goodies, but I fall in love with this car every time I take it to the mountains in East TN.

Fellas -

have any of you ordered custom one off colours? Or colours offered on other Mercedes platforms?

I might have some hope reignited that I’ll be able to grab a BS. Got a random text from the dealer on Friday that inspired some hope. Would trade the Pro in. Won’t know for a bit yet though but started thinking about colours.
