In your 6th picture, I used to live right next to the Duke energy building (the one that looks like a martini glass at night) up until a few years ago.

I don't mind the stripes at all, but after seeing almost this exact spec at a local dealer, I hate the plastic aero additions. They make it feel/look like a cheaply modded GT R.

Also not a fan of the silver lip on the wheels.

 

Come on man. Considering that there are still so many plain panels they could have added plastic attachments to, this version seems kinda restrained.

 

Lol, I'm not adverse to them adding aero, at all, it just looks and feels like cheap abs in person (especially the fender vents). They could have integrated the fender vents like a GT3 RS, and used carbon fiber for the new bits. Would have made a big difference in making it feel as premium as the price point suggests.

 

Agreed on the fender vents. At minimum CF. I guess it's an aftermarket opportunity...

 

I really disliked the stripes on our Ed1 E63s but eventually got used to them. Adds some uniqueness I guess but those were gray on black. I would remove the stripes of a GTR Pro personally. But it's a personal choice.
Wasn't the stripe delete a free build option?

I think the only plastic aero is the fender vents. Rest is carbon fibre in mine.

From what I gather the reason for that after taking to Apex Customs is the heat and the amount of flex in the fenders under load. Carbon fibre in those should crack.

That being said- I might get some made and find out for myself - but was told they could be short lived on the track.

Potential stupid question incoming. Does the base of the spoiler have a brake light? I was looking at getting one of these spoilers for my GTS but wasn't sure about adding a brake light since I already have the 3rd brake light at the top of the rear glass. In the rear shot of the pro above it doesn't look like the spoiler base light is on.

Its the reverse light, the couldn't put it on the bottom because of the diffuser.
