They would have got more money for the brakes if they are carbon. a friend of mine actually had his wheels stolen when his car was parked over night next to mine years ago, they broke into mine and used my jack to lift his car and steal his wheels!!!!

Man I can't believe people still do this to a acar in public. Someone must of seen something, Just looked the other way. Although they are pretty fast when they pull this off...

It get's a lot worse these days... The new hotness is to cut off catalytic converters, especially from the Prius due to their size, for the platinum, etc.

They are now rigging up special tools that allow them to reach under and cut the pipes, without having to get under the car. Takes them less than 30 seconds, and they end up making $100-300 profit per at the scrap yards.
