More GTR Black Series
Many thanks for the GT BLACK PICTURES.
I’m betting late spring 2021 before deliveries are made here in the US.
Any news on changes to the 2021 AMG G63?
I hope all is as well as can be expected up your way with the coronavirus.
Best regards
Jerry

2021 GLA should be May-Jun , as is the 2020 GLC350e, CLA45 and 2021 GLE53 coupe/suv
Sept the 2021 GLE63's.. GLS63, GLS600 maybach.. plus GLA35/45 and E450 all terrain lifted/cladded wagon (Sadly no more E450 wagon) ..
Dec the GLB35 and GLE350e 4matic suv
Not sure about the new redesigned S and C class yet..
no news on 2021 G wagons yet.. I only have 2021 order guides for GLS,A class and GLA... but none are complete yet

Latest numbers:
711HP and 590Lbs/ft torque
The GTR according to Renntech is underrated by MB at 577hp, and actually is putting out more like 600hp at the crank. That means that 700hp would only be an approximate 14% increase in HP which as others have mentioned would be pretty easy to accomplish. If you notice, the torque numbers quoted aren’t that much higher, so the stress to the drivetrain is going to be well managed. Some markedly enhanced aero and suspension work, plus perhaps a set of trick Michelin MPSC2 ‘R’ tyres, and the car is going to ‘hook up’ great, with the caveat being that it is of course still a RWD platform, and physics has its limits! lol

For those that get it, will it be solely a track car or a garage queen? Who will utilize its power ?
I have a garden variety discontinued 2018 GTS. I can barely push it to its limits here in NY. There are so many cars, speed cameras and red light cameras that I can barely get it to speed limit.

Grabbed the GTR Pro mid November and have almost 7000km and that’s with it being in the shop 3 weeks. I’ll treat the black series the same...
although I’ll probably not be able acquire one. if I do it would be blind luck

But with recent events I am not too sure now, priorities have shifted.
That, and I have several project cars that will realistically take the better part of my remaining years to complete at my rate of progress (sigh).
Also, besides the local track I frequent there are 2 more tracks under construction relatively close.
Needless to say this will be a busy year for me where I can see track days nearly every weekend this year.
I am really on the fence about keeping the PRO or going dedicated track car that I can thrash around and be cheaper on consumables.

Tracking on a regular basis would be brutal financially on a expensive car like that one and I don't think i would tolerate that especially considering the new reality we all live in today.
Occasional is the word when talking about the use of such car, I would probably be more aggressive if that whole CV disaster did not happen but now, like almost everyone, I have to be much more considerate about spending $$$, still not really knowing when I will resume to run my company and whether my income ever comes back to the same levels as before.
Regular tracking, daily "beating the crap out of it" is just not feasible for most, would destroy any resale value that is in today's reality questionable at best anyway.
That car is no longer an "investment" for any potential speculators and just going to the expense of buying one is a difficult decision for anyone who has to also consider just plain financial survival of his family today and still unknown tomorrow.
