A month in and creaks and cracks noises are driving my crazy

I think I may swap this amg GT in for a s63 coupe. There are way to many creaks and cracks going on inside the cabin. I believe suspension related. It’s always in slow left turns and slowly driving up on uneven surfaces. Someone mentioned re tighten the shock strut brace nuts. But I’ll give the dealership a shot to fix this if not they offer car take back for same value or more at this MB dealership.

its not a luxury sedan. The S class is a sofa on wheels.

it’s a sportscar . The engine and music usually drown out any extraneous noises.

you will take a big $ hit if you try to trade it in. It has already depreciated since you drove it off the lot.

Hopefully you bought it used and your dealership really likes you. Mine has some minor sounds but nothing constant and obviously loud. I remember it had a creaking noise from the center console when I first bought it but went away pretty quickly.

On a related note, I am kind of the opposite when looking for a sports car. I vividly remember when I test drove a Carrera S and 911 Turbo. I was actually pretty pissed how refined they were. I've grown up with all sorts of modified sports cars. I enjoy the weird suspension noises, squeaking brakes, and other mechanical sounds. The sales person suggested I test drive a GT3. Fell in love. Similar situation with my GTS.

I actually test drove an E63 for a daily driver. Same thing. Was way too nice for me. I ended up with an Alfa Giulia QV eventually.

The S will be way more refined if that's what you're looking for.

Does anybody even talk about miles per gallon? Best money spent IMO. And now it's dirt cheap; couldn't believe that filing up our completely empty GTC was less than $32... Crazy times

It got really cheap up here in Toronto about 4-5 weeks ago now it’s back up to being sort of expensive. I don’t get much change out of $85 CAD...

Are the creaks coming from inside the cabin? Like interior related? I had this issue and was able to replicate it at the dealer. They removed numerous trim pieces, while installing felt tape to quiet down the noise. After maybe 5 test drives they got it much quieter.

no it seems to be an exterior popping noise creaks when I pull Up
on an uneven drive way or slow left turn going up on uneven surface.

That's definitely not normal. Driving over bumpy surfaces, I might get the occasional slight interior creak, but the suspension never creaks, pops, or does anything of the sort while turning or going up driveways.

I don’t or can’t see MB CPO this vehicle if there were some issues
but maybe they don’t care and just CPO cars to get more value out of them

cool vid I saw last night
arojnd the 9:10 mark he explain car doesn’t feel like a tracked out race car anymore and soft like a gt car? Hmm

as for amg gts
my edition 1 gts rattled creaked etc, it was stiff

my amg gtr is way stiffer but feels way better out together inside without all the pops and rattles oddly enough,

my s550 cabriolet is still pretty quiet after two years except for wearing tire noise and now a rattle coming from dash occasionally , but s is really refined and for most part silent, over 20k miles on it since new

I think my 2019 GTC has the same issue. It’s a mild rattle noticeable when driven up a curve or when the chassis “twists”. It’s getting fixed now. I’ll report back on the cause shortly.

let me know what they say. After replacing both diagnol strut braces and hardware with loctite. Didn’t fix the isssue. They wanted to pull the dash, I said no way.

Looks like it's front strut braces for me too. They will arrive next week. Apparently they have some type of adhesive on them now, which wasn't the case when my car was assembled (in Nov. 2018).

Also, did your dealer check the anti sway bar torque?

Did the check the antiroll or anti sway bar torque?

Can you describe your sound again? What I'm hearing is more of a rattle, not loud at all, when you go up a curb or when the road surface is uneven. It's only really noticeable at low speeds.
