AMG GTR Wheels on GTC - help

In searching I saw lots of chatter about fitment for GTR wheels, mostly on GT/GTS - sounded like there were lots of thoughts about whether it would work but could not find a single picture of someone whose done it. WIth the rear tires/wheels being the issue, I have to wonder has someone done it for a GTC - and is there a photo out there someone could share? The front offset is different but looks tollerable - for some reason the rears actually have a less aggressive offset than the GTC; maybe to accommodate the 325 or 335 tire spec.

Does anyone have a photo of this being done?

I'm not a legit expert however the GTR and GTC both have the wider fenders and I would assume they are interchangeable.

2018 AMG GTC
100% it will work, I have a 2018 GTC with custom HRE wheels, but I also know all factory wheels for the GTR will work on the GTC. I am running 275/325 on my HREs and the rear setup is actually for a 355...

well, I went and pulled the trigger on a set that was virtually brand new with brand new Sport Cups for a track set. They will for sure fit but the offsets are different from the GTR which leaves me a little concerned; especially with what appears so far to be no evidence of anyone ever doing it...hoping that I didn't make a $5,000 mistake. The fronts show as 15mm more of a positive offset which if Im lucky pushes it to flush with the fender (the GTR is almost 2" wider in the front too!). And the rears show a 6mm less of an offset....considering the rear config is the same is odd to me but with the tire width moving from 305 to 325 so 20mm wider overall - the 6mm offset reduction would still have this sticking out an added 4mm - spacers would be an easy fix to have it sit flush like the front.

Frankly, I'm more concerned about the front fit than anything. If anyone is hiding a picture that shows this done, I would really appreciate the input!

Figured it out - here is mine done. Did it and fits....needs spacers in the rear. Everything fits perfectly and I have a 1" drop.

There is the issue. You cannot use spacers in the front. Spacers can only widen the stance. The GTR is a bit wider than the GTC on the front end but as Skilly showed, they work fine as-is.
FYI, if a car doesn’t rub when lowered it will definitely not rub at stock height.

2020 AMG GTC
Here is something that may help.
The original GTC rims (AMG code RXO, RXP, RXQ, RXR, 658 or 659) are F: 19" x 9" wide with 61mm offset, R: 20" x 12" wide with 46mm offset.
I have installed the original GTC tires (F 265-35-19 R 305-30-20) on a GTR rim (AMG code: RXA) which are F: 19" x 10" wide and 56mm offset, R: 20" x 12" wide and 52mm offset).
You cannot add any spacer on the front because 52mm offset make the wheel stick out more then the 61mm offset. leaving it as is without any spacer create a positive scrub radius of 5mm, which is a none issue. On the other hand, I added a 5mm spacer to the rear wheels to bring the new 52mm offset closer to the original 46mm, so the new offset is 47 mm (only 1mm off the original offset) which is perfect.
I found no issues whatsoever, no rubs or so. I also track the car and had no issues.
You may want to do a wheel alignment to make sure you are within AMG spec.

Here is a comparison between the GTC and GTR wheels:

In fact, I don't anticipate any issues going up to the standard GTR tire sizes of: F: 275-35-19, R: 325-30-20:

That’s just not a real pic Imo.

Fronts look 3” smaller.

Looks very good!

Are you on stock suspensions or with a lowering kit...?

The car is on stock suspensions. There are no mods on the car. All stock.
In the pics the car was in Race mode and there is plenty of clearance. No rubbing issues in any stress situation.
In the winter I am using the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 with 335/25 R20 in the rear, with no issues.
IMO these is enough clearance to fit the original GTR tires ( F:275/35 R19 , R: 325/30 R20 ) on the standard GTC.

Can't say what he didn't get right but this fits as shown by Skilly and G.P in stock and lowered setups & facelift model. A 9mm outward difference in offset between the rims will fit in any case. He may want to try again...

Yes. On my '18 GTC I have Michelin PS4S 285/35/R19s on my OEM front rims and they are fine for street use. Never had rubbing issues. On track I change my wheels for SV501s with Cup2s.

you mean you are running 285 on the oem gtc front wheel or 285 on the gtr wheel ( assuming your car is a GTC )..?

Would these wheels fit on a GTC? Would I need spacers at all or run into any issues? I’m currently stock height, but may want to lower in the future.

Front 20x10.5 +50
Rear 21x13 +50

Tires:
Front 285/30/20
Rear 355/25/21
